Terrible Breakfast

Grits - Salty and running away from the bowl

Eggs WERE NOT FRESH

Bacon had been sitting in a grease vat

Smoking is allowed right in FRONT OF THE KITCHEN. SMOKING Bad for food.

Pancakes were not cooked

Biscuit tasted like s!@#

Has gone down hill since the last time we ate here.

I have eaten here in the past for dinner which was perfectly acceptable. We (2 adults, 2 kids) tried breakfast today and I left knowing that I would most likely never come back. The restaurant was busy on Sunday for lunch and after having been in business for several years I would expect that they would be better prepared for a busy Sunday. After a short wait we were seated to our table. The first strike for me was that their famous biscuits in gravy are not available after 11:00 a.m. even though breakfast is advertised as being served all day. We placed our order after a few minutes.

Over 40 minutes later we finally received our order. My order was half incorrect, one my son's order was half complete, and all of the food was between lukewarm to cool. After some reminders to the waitress she finally completed my son's order.

Receiving the food almost cold and after taking such a long time is unacceptable to me as there are other restaurants for me to go to that perform better.

• Pros: Nicely decorated for a cafe, good atmosphere.
• Cons: Untrained wait staff, kitchen unable to handle busy hours efficiently.

Tough steaks for breakfast

My family stopped in for a good breakfast and did not get it. We enjoy steak & eggs for breakfast ocasionally. The steak was tough and and very small for the price, eggs were so-so. Nothing as special as we were lead to believe; along with small portions We left hungry and disappointed. Coffee was good.

• Cons: Tough food; small portions for the price.

Great Place

Excellent place to eat, had to get through some traffic on the road going to it but it is weel worth the trouble. The tenderloin was awesome.

Homemade Chicken & Noodles?? Homemade Tenderloin Sandwiches, biscuits & gravy?? Homemade Dinner Rolls and Desserts?? These are just a few of the wonderful things the Corner Cafe offers.

Their salads are one of my favorite things. Always cold, fresh & crispy!

Alot of people have written about slow service, and long waits. Are we eating at the same place? We've never had a long wait or poor service. Always prompt & friendly! But then, we use our timing skills and hit the restaurant just before or after PEAK busy times..Timing people, timing....

Dobn't forget their new location in Liberty, MO.

Great place

I've eaten at the corner since they first opened the old place. It is still my favorite place in KC area. We have lmany people lfrom our Church in St. Joe driving down there for breakfast on a regular basis.

Whenever we head south, we always drive thru Riverside for a meal before continuing out trip.

OK so you might wait a bit, I've never waited over 30 minutes so planning is a good thing to do. The food is great. Excellent service. you really need to be a bit on the hungry side. It's a super family gathering place. Do you like Biscuits and Gravy..I say no more as words can't describe the Large. Medium will be fine from now on.

This place is amazing. Their fresh rolls for breakfast, lunch, or dinner are well worth the trip all on it's own. It's a cozy place that all can enjoy!

Great Value

You get a lot of great food for a low price. My husband and I can have dinner for less than $20 and still both bring home leftovers. The rolls that come with dinner are made fresh and are great. My husband always ask for extras. If you love grandma's home cooking then this is a close second.
