dishonest. I have had my hair colored for 3 decades and never had had someone tell me that my hair is the problem. I went 4 weeks ago and Ron one of the owners said I should buy a product to touch my hair up between appts, seemed like an okay thing to do. I realized in 4 days that the hair color did not take and that is why he had me buy the product, so hair cut color and product with tip $160.00, not cheap, never mentioned that he would fix problem

Fool me once, so I went back this week, told him by concerns and again my hair was the problem, never offered to compensate me for my time and dollar amount. So he colored my hair, again color did not take , he tried his forumla, which did not take also. My hairdresser in another town suggested that the product was bad, which I suggested and then he went on to say he taught color in New York and 99% of the time everything is okay. At this moment everyone in salon new there was a provlem,, Ron left to do a another client and was finsihed by another sylists, who continued to say my hair was the problem call me honey repeatly but again never offered to fix by problem, by either calling my old hair dresser or buy the product which did work on my hair. The comments about the salon and how clean it is, well tile on ceiling is stained with water and exposed pipes, so i was a bit concerned about that.

Long story to this point, Ron and his staff do not take pride and accountablity for their work, I am in the service industry and would fire anyone who worked for me with this lack of skill set. When there is a issue with anything you fix the problem and not place blame on anything, esp something as stupid as it is my hair problem with out offering to fix.

Yes, I walked out 2 1/2 hours later with a $50.00 bill and my hair not colored right, the cost was for hair cut, which was about 15 mintues of the time. If you have 3 hrs of time besides extra cash to spend on your hair this salon is for you however I suggest youn look else where. Honestly open for 20 years..will be with out my business.…

Thank you Ron!. I can't believe any of these negative comments. I have been going to Ron for 11 years and he has done a great job on my hair everytime. I have been to multiple places in the kansas city area and nobody can seem to quite do my hair right except for Ron. I recommended him to all my friends already.

Salon Sophia. this is a horrible salon. You have to wait and then get mediocre care. I got the worst color ever there and Ron just blew it off. Highly disappointed. In addition, they don't clean their salon very well. My stylist picked up a dirty brush and used it to comb my hair...disgusting!…

Best Customer Service for a simple haircut & Style. This past weekend, I was visiting a family member and I needed a haircut. I am very picky when it comes to someone touching my hair but after reading the reviews on this salon, I took a chance and made an appointment. I was an hour late and when I got there, they were getting ready to leave for the day (I don't blame them, it was a holiday). When I walked in, Ron greeted me so nicely and was not at all mad I was an hour late. He asked Margie (sp?) if she could take the appointment and with such a warm smile, she agreed. I already had such a great experience before she even touched my hair :).

Since Margie was finishing up with a customer, Ron did not make me wait!! He went and shampoo my hair so by the time he was done, Margie was ready for me. She was such a great hairstylist and very personable!!! Anytime I am in KC and need to get my hair done, I will definetely go there and I highly recommend this salon to anyone out there.…

Best Haircut I Have Ever Had!. I has in Kansas City from out of town and needed to get a haircut. We were down walking at the Plaza and found Salon Sophia. They were very friendly and got me in for an appointment right away. Maggie's brother did my haircut. He was very meticulous throughout the process, and gave me the BEST haircut I have ever had!

Best Salon!. I don't know why people are giving this Salon a bad review. This salon has been in business for over 20 years so obviously they are good! This is the best salon I have been to. I have been going to Salon Sophia for 7 years now. The owner Maggie does my hair exactly how I want it every time, and gives me great service. She has my coffee ready every time I walk in the door and does an exceptional job on my hair. I bring my whole family in because they are great people, and are amazing at what they do!

Great haircut. Few of my friends were in town for a wedding , after I called few other salons I finally made a few appointments a for blow dry style and pedicure. I have to say we were late, for our apportments and one was paying for the others, it was a mess and some forgot their credit cards..... but the salon owners, were so cooperative and sooooo nice , they got the whole salon working around us going from pedicure chair to shampoo bowl to the stylist chair and out the door. It was amazing , we all looked beautiful and had so much fun in the salon and at the wedding. Thank you everyone! you guys are great…

Poor Customer Service. I had been a repeat customer for over a year. Upon every visit, even though I had an appointment every time, I had to wait atleast 15 minutes for Maggie to get to me. I never once complained. I then arrive 7 minutes late to an appointment and she proceeds to scream at me from across the salon how she is on a tight schedule and refuses to grant me serive, after I have always patiently waited for her. I will never return to this salon and urge others not to unless you want poor customer servie!!!…
