I used to frequent the restaurant at the Raphael, however i have not been since it has undergone new management. I thought the Raphael was very romantic and the staff was very attentive. I have had many great dinners there, although i will agree with the other review that breakfast is just ok. Not sure if the chefs are different although i have seen that they eliminated the prix fixe that they used to rotate monthly.

Very cute hotel

We have stayed here twice and each time have enjoyed our stay. The lobby is very cute & the staff has always been very helpful. The rooms are very spacious. Though, they are rather dark and the furniture isn't what you would expect after being in the lobby. The beds are very comfortable. The location cannot be beat for location to the plaza.

• Pros: location, staff, clean comfortable beds & rooms
• Cons: needs updating, halls and rooms are a bit depressing.

Wonderful mother-daughter trip

My daughter and I decided to take a "Jazzy" little trip to Kansas City and stay at the Raphael Hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we found all our requests had been fulfilled as to room size, floor, and a full view of the river and Plaza shopping area. The room was well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more charming. The hotel's convenience to all the places we wanted to visit was invaluable. We'll do it again. Thanks Raphael!
