The Scene
This spot is a wildly popular place for business meetings and social lunches. Artist Frederick James Brown's monumental oil series, "The History of Art," bedecks the walls, and the stylishly artistic tables and chairs are the work of Finnish designer Stefan Lindfors. The 48-seat café is a gallery itself with its oil paintings and sculpture courtyard. The exhibits at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art are spectacular, but they're rivaled by the brilliant culinary creations of Chef Jennifer Maloney.
The Food
Utilizing the freshest seasonal produce from the immediate area, Café Sebastienne serves divine dishes with portobello mushrooms and scrumptious fresh-fruit cobblers. The Muffuletta Sandwich (ham, salami and greens) is served on a crusty baguette. The Moroccan-Spiced Chicken comes with couscous and a plum-ginger chutney.
Dish to Die For
Lobster tostada.
