My destination of choice on movie nights

The Legends at Village West's feature attraction is the main auditorium, with 650 seats, an 87-foot wide screen, 42 JBL surround speakers, and a VIP balcony with oversized seats and an "adult drinks" bar.

The other 13 theaters aren't as fancy, but they're still very nice theaters?boasting "the widest seats and most legroom in the KC metro area".

To date, I've only seen two movies there?one in the main auditorium and one in a smaller theater. Both times I was very impressed.

There are two complaints I have about this theater. The first is that you have to buy tickets outside. This is a pretty minor complaint, as the kiosks keep lines short and you'll probably want to walk around to the many shops anyway, but it still is a concern on cold nights.

The second complaint is the horrible web presence (at least at the time of writing). This is one of the coolest theaters I've been to, but it's incredibly difficult to find any information about them online. Their "official" website is worthless and they weren't even listed on Citisearch so I had to request that they be added so I could write my review. For a theater in such a modern shopping center, they certainly have dropped the ball when it comes to the online community.

Everything else about "The Legends" is top of the line?it even LOOKS cool from the parking lot?but what really makes it special is the location. There's plenty of parking and the theater is located right behind a beautiful fountain at the heart of the Village West shopping center. Next door is a coffee shop which often features live music. There are plenty of places to eat and shop in short walking distance, and the nearby Dave & Buster's is an ideal location to burn 30 or 40 minutes before your movie starts. I can't think of any other theater where I've enjoyed waiting for the movie as much as I have at The Legends.
