Signatures of this fast-food breakfast and burger chain include Made from Scratch Biscuits and the Thickburger.

In Short
The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.

I haven't eaten anything but Hardee's biscuts and gravy for at least 15 years. Whenever my husband would want to go there, I always made him take me to McDonalds seperately! I went there a week ago and got one of their specials, (radio promotion) for a $1.04. I figured, what the heck, everyone says they're different now. WOW! It was the best hamburger I've ever had that wasn't in a bar and grill! I'll be going there again, when I have that hamburger craving that the other places just can't match!
Hardee's Has Changed!

The burgers really are so good there. I love the Six Dollar Sourdough Burger...There's really no other fast food burger like it out there!
I don't know how a fast food place can serve such awesome burgers, but somehow they've done it!
Nice job Hardee's. Thickburgers ROCK!
- Pros: BURGERS, QUALITY, VALUE
Hardee's has CHANGED!

Wow, I hadn't been to Hardee's in at least 3 years...But I kept seeing all of these commercials on TV talking about their new Angus Beef Thickburgers! They looked so good on TV, I had to see for myself if it was true.
Let me tell you...They looked and tasted just like they did on TV. I am a burger lover...And these are by far the VERY BEST fast food hamburgers I've ever had. They certainly are equal to Friday's or Applebee's, if not better.
If you haven't tried one, and you love burgers like I do....Then you're missing out. I'm telling you, they're THAT GOOD. (My favorite is called Six Dollar Burger...Love that name! It only costs like $3.95!!)
- Pros: Quality, Taste, Value
Hardee's is HORRID

I am from California, moved here in 2000, and I noticed that Hardees got bought out by my FAVORITE fast food chain, CARL'S JR. I assumed the menu would turn over to a full Carl's (or at least half) menu, but it's not. Hardees instead does it own thing with the smallest menu in the history of chain fast food. Thickburgers (Which are not good), fries (which are not even up to Carls Jr stds), and drinks. That's pretty much it. I am still MAD that Carls Karcher won't make Carl's Jr NATIONWIDE and simply eliminate Hardees: Not only is it the worst "major" FF chain, it's owned by the BEST FF chain. That is said. PLEASE BRING CARL'S JR NATIONWIDE, ESPECIALLY MISSOURI.
- Pros: Owned by Carls Jr, Could become Carls, Nothing else
- Cons: Food is horrible, VERY SMALL menu, Service stinks
took 15 min to get an Iced Tea
by Kelloggs1992 at Citysearch
I went there to get a drink. It took over 10 min to get the drink. And they say fast food. It took them forever my husband timed it and it took 16 min to get an Iced Tea. Glad we didnt order any food with that drink. There were only 2 cars ahead of us.
