Run, don't walk, to the nearest exit. Get out of there.

Owens will give you a flat rate agreement to sign and return with your check, promising to return your signed copy. NOT. The agreement says he'll do everything, even appeal to the MO Supreme Court, at no extra charge. He'll scare you by claiming to charge 2X by the hour.
Once paid, he works, until the check clears, even though not deposited in you client trust account.
He'll call saying that there is another issue you didn't tell him about, and he needs double the money. If you don't belly up with the loot, he'll tell you how you have a winning case, and after a while, he'll offer to do it for only 50% more. If you fail to pay up, he'll take it off the table.
He'll threaten to tell one of the Western District judges, that you are a dead beat who won't pay the bill, even though you have fully paid.
If you don't pay at this point, Owens will say something like, "You don't have the bal_s to fire me," trying to make you fire him.
If he does file your Brief, he?ll immediately file to withdrawal. I objected. He won. Then, he sent privileged attorney client communication to the adverse party, not once but twice.
Owens kept my money, never sent me my copy of our flat rate agreement
I complained with the Bar. What a joke.
Owens responded with an entirely different story - all lies.
The bar assigned a traffic case attorney, who refuses to return my calls and letters.
The W.D. judges? unpublished opinion spent 3 pages out of 15 on my unworthy pro se status.
Neither the U.S. nor the Missouri Constitutions say that you have no rights unless you have an attorney. But, the Western District Court knows otherwise.
I feel sorry for you if you think you need to talk to this Owens clown.
- Pros: A good liar.
- Cons: Yes, he is a CON.
