A must try

This is a serious diamond in the rough. The food is fantastic and wonderfully authentic. Everything from the smell of fresh cut cilantro to the made on-the-spot corn tortillas is amazing. Make the effort to find it, have yourself a Jaritos soda, and then order yourself the 'Alambre de Pastor' - you'll discover your new 'Favorite'.

Awesome food

I drive out of my way to eat the authentic Mexican tacos. The ingredients are all fresh and the prices are very low (watch the cashier though when you check out). You can actually watch your tacos being made fresh when you order them.
Along with your order you'll get chips and excellent salsa and also pico de gallo upon request. All complimentary. I recommend getting a separate bowl and mixing the pico with the salsa for a very flavorful experience.
Service is usually very good and the staff understands English. The decor is humble, but clean and and very pleasant. Tip well, they have excellent memories and you will be rewarded on your return.

BEST BURRITO IN TOWN

El Camino Real has the BEST BURRITO in KANSAS CITY - PERIOD!!! The El Pastor Burrito is literally the best mexican cuisine that I have ever had. I crave it day in and out.
This place is an awesome little whole in the wall place. The rest of the food is authentic mexican food... great price and value. If you like taco bell - do not go to this restaurant - THIS IS REAL MEXICAN FOOD.
The EL PASTOR BURRITO could feed me for two meals - its pretty big - but their tacos leave a little bit to be desired.
