great park for a great team!

by erinkatecole at Citysearch

Best baseball park I have ever been to. Best priced seats around. No seat is a bad seat! Great fan participation activities. Always a great time for people at any age!

The K - Better than any downtown stadium

by aimcbt at Citysearch

If you love baseball, and like being able to see a MLB game from a good seat for little money, Kaufmann is the place. Highly recommended - View Boxes in upper tier - 12 bucks. For that price they're the best seats in the house.

  • Pros: seat prices, sight lines, parking
  • Cons: concessions, the team, that tacky crown

Cute and cozy? Heck no. But there ain't a bad seat in the house, and the barbecue does KC proud.

The Venue
A funny thing happened in late-'60s Kansas City: The city built a baseball-only ballpark--a radical concept in an era of huge multisport stadiums. And so three decades later, Kauffman Stadium (formerly known as Royals Stadium) endures, one of the few survivors of its vintage. The gaudy outfield fountains and Jetsons-like architecture certainly don't evoke baseball tradition, but the stadium sightlines are as good as any in the big leagues, and over the years, the park's somewhat garish highlights have developed a sentimentality all their own.

The Experience
Sports are a big part of local culture in Kansas City. Even throughout all the lean years since the World Series title in '85, Royals fans have remained loyal. Just as the aroma of the city's famous barbecue fills the stadium, so too does a sense of connection to the lifeblood of the community.

The "K" is the place.

by caseyroy at Citysearch

There is not a better way to spend a summer day than to be parked at the "K" watching a game. The park is one of the oldest in baseball but it still looks brand new.

They may be losers but their ours!

We may not be winning this season, but it is still a great way to spend some time with the family or a great place to take a date!
