Horrible Experience for Me. I order my wedding dress and was told it would be in October 4th. When I hadn't heard from them by the 6th, I called to be told by Gwen, "It just came in." I asked her to overnight it to me as I would not be coming back to KC and had made arrangements to get it tailored in OK. That was a Friday, so I expected to get the dress no later than Tuesday of the next week. When it didn't arrive on Tuesday, I called them on Wednesday and left a message. By Thursday evening I called again, hoping to get a person versus an answering machine. Liz tracked down my dress only to tell me....it was still there! "The UPS man forgot to pick it up" (yeah, right!), "but the owner was hand-carrying to get it out immediately, and I should have it the next day." No surprise when it didn't get there until Saturday afternoon (2 days after I talked to Liz), and the delivery came after the alterations shop was closed. On Monday I immediately went into the alterationist, only to learn that because we'd lost 10 days, they couldn't do the work at the original price and now would have to charge me $450 to $500 to get it ready for my big day!! Called and talked to someone who had the owner (Shari) call me back. The owner was less than understanding or helpful. Message I walked away with was in essence, "Too bad, so sad but it was a special order dress and Gown Gallery would do nothing....no offer to pay the difference on the alteration cost they caused by not ensuring it made it to me overnight on the 6th....no offer to take it back with a restocking fee....nothing - zip, zilch, nada! If I had the chance to do it again, I'd run as fast as I could in the opposite direction! (By the way, I'm wearing a dress I bought at Dillards now. At least it has good karma - unlike stuff coming out of the Gown Gallery.)…
Dresses were FOUR WEEKS LATE!!.
I ordered flower girls dresses 12 wks out from the wedding and paid for the expedited order/shipping for both dresses. I was guaranteed they would be in in 6 weeks so I would have time for
alterations and so my sister (the bride) could see them, in person, while she was in KC (she lives out of the country). I called to check on the dresses a couple days before they were SUPPOSED to be ready and the order had gotten filed incorrectly! I was then told it would only take 2 more weeks to get them rush ordered; however, 4 weeks later the dresses came WITH STAINS!
Horrible customer service! VERY VERY disorganized! Would NEVER recommend anyone getting ANYTHING from them! Horribly over-priced to top it off!…
