Had washing machine serviced for leaky
valve.
The initial phone call lacked some professional polish, but
The SERVICE TECHNICIAN was courteous, prompt and to the point about the issue with the washing machine. He got the part ordered and came back to install it as scheduled. We will call again for service as the tech makes a huge difference
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I recently purchased a new washing machine from Briens. They have a "strict" delivery policy: you must answer our phone before they deliver. Sounds reasonable, but they kept calling the wrong phone number which was just the beginning of my problems with them. They claimed they called the correct number (which I had specifically spoken to the clerk at the store about and I had circled and written 'call first' on my deliver receipt) yet in the age of iPhones which list every call, they never did. My husband had stayed home all day since the delivery window is 8:30 am - 5pm. Upon calling them to reschedule, I left a message and they NEVER called back. I had to call them 5 more times, 3 of which they hung up on me. I got my washer 3 days later after missing 3 days of work between my husband and myself and being treated like crap from the Briens staff. At one point they told me they thought I was trying to scam them.....pretty funny since they had my money and I had no washer for 3 days. It was the worst experience and I still kick myself for not going to Home Depot and for trying to support a local business. Don't go here.
DON'T DO IT.
This place is fine until they have your money! Worst customer service ever! I just finished filing a complaint with the better business bureau on them. We bought a used fridge from them and it started making a loud noise and stopped working within a week. We knew we had a warranty so we called for repairs. They told us no one could be out until Monday. It was Thursday and they're open 7 days a week unil 5 pm. That right there proves how many faulty appliances they sell.
We asked what time and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and said its all day. We asked if they could call before arrival so my fiance could at least run some errands and the woman rudely said no. So he waited and the guy showed up, looked at it for 5 minutes and said yeah this is shot, no way to repair. Could they not tell that a week prior? Anyway he said they would replace it after he got back to the store with the paperwork and they would cal that night. They never called. We went four days having to eat out due to no fridge and when we called they said they would replace it.
We asked if they would deliver it since they're down the street and they had done nothing but inconvenience us. They said no and that we have to load up the broken fridge and bring it back to them to get the new one too. They said it wasn't in their policy to do that. To do what? Help out people you screw over? Anyway the woman answering the phone there is a horribly rude person and needs a personality adjustment and the other half of her brain. We took the piece of crap back and brought home the "new" one. The "new" one wasn't as nice as the one we bought originally and smells like mold. Think they care? Nope! DO NOT GO HERE! Save your money and take it elsewhere.
Used washer. So I have been shopping around looking for a place that sells used appliances.. I don't like new because they don't seem to last like the old ones. Found this place in Grandview that sells all kinds of appliances they clean them, fix them up with real working parts (not plastic) and give you a heck of a good warranty! I bought a washing machine brought it home and hooked it up Works Great!! Thanks so much guys. I will be buying with Briens from now on :)
Poor/Fraudulent/Unaccountable Service.
A copy of the letter I sent to this company today (1/26/2012):
I purchased a refrigerator within the past thirty days and the water dispenser has not worked since installation (it leaks) which is documented via email on the day after I picked up the unit. While the warranty does not apply on two counts (out of area and it concerns a water dispenser), the bill of sale indicates that the ice maker and water dispenser both work. Clearly the water dispenser does not. I simply want to receive what I agreed to pay for and the seller does not appear intent on delivering. The unit was not damaged or mishandled in any way in transit. I sought to remedy the solution many times by following suggestions on the phone and then trying to schedule service. Neither has proved productive (ie your REFUSE to come service your defective merchandise).
The way I see it there are three solutions that I sought legal counsel/support on:
1. The unit is serviced/repaired in home
2. I return the unit for a full cash refund.
3. We enter into costly (in time and $) legal contention and remedy
I clearly donâ??t want to have any issues and have tried to be very constructive and helpful in finding a solution. I simply want to receive what I agreed to pay for. Please let me know which of the above options you would like to pursue in the next 3 business days and we will proceed. If I have not heard from you in that time, I will assume you prefer the third option listed.
Jeremy
If I do not get a viable remedy, I will not only be pursuing things legally, I will also be contacting the local media in an effort to insure people are aware of how this company chooses to conduct business. This is the first and ONLY time I have ever complained about the service I have received at a local business (I am reluctant to even say a word when a restaurant gets my order incorrectly), but this company acted as though I was at fault for THEIR product THEY certified not working properly.
Consumers should be made aware of who and what they are dealing with. I am very likely to spend more time and money in forcing this company to make things right than it would cost to have the item fixed (they'll spend more money to contest and STILL have to fix or refund it than if they had simply done the honorable thing up front), but at this point, it is the principal of the matter. This is NOT how you should do business. It is a shame because I like to support local and small business.
Clearly, I recommend you avoid this company at all cost!
We will see what happens...
Bad Customer Service.
Bought a used stove, got it home realized I needed a different cord. I unscrewed it and went back to the store to hopefully make an exchange.
Well they indeed had the cord i needed just sitting there (used) but they needed to call the owner to OK the exchange.......HE SAID NO ...That'll be 14.95.
I like to support local biz, but when they cant even make an effort at customer satisfaction i will just go to Lowes or Home Depot for a stupid brand new cord.
Will find it very hard to recommend this place now.
I also fully agree with the other comments about the unprofessional employees..."i just work here" approach
Great Service and Products. We rent and our landlord won't fix appliances. The oven went out so we went to Brien's for a new stove. The selection was great. The salespeople were very helpful. I especially like the discount if paying by cash. The stove works great have had no problems but if we do it has a three year warranty. You can't beat this place for fair price, great service, warranty. I recommend this place to everyone that is in need of appliances. I even told my landlord about Brien's. I am very satisfied with everything and will be back the next time I need an appliance. Thank you.
GREAT SERVICE!.
I was very impressed to walk into a clean and helpful service. My used appliance i got there is STILL working and they do a excellent job cleaning. I am recommending them to others and they have went there too! When i need an appliance i will for sure go to Brien's appliance in a heart beat!
THANK YOU BRIEN'S APPLIANCE!! :)
Briens Appliance. I was pleasantly suprised to walk into a clean rpofessional place to purchase a used appliance. I would recommend them to others and I will return when I need other used appliances. They also had a large number of appliances to choose from.
Smart, fast, and affordable!. I have been to Briens several times with questions on repairs and upkeep. I always get the right answer very quickly, either at the store or a phone call from them within hours. If I can fix it myself they tell me how or if it's too big of a job they are at my door in no time at all. I use them for my home, business, and have sent family to them as well. I can't say enough.
