39.127223 -94.828019GOOD "Authentic" Mexican Food, Not Tex-Mex!. This is considered "authentic" mexican food, not tex-mex like most of the american mexican restaurants are... understand the difference in taste, to some it may be bland, but have any of you been to Mexico lately?? That's how the food is... If you truely love AUTHENTIC mexican food, then this is a good place to go with a great atmosphere, the prices are pretty much the same compared to any other authentic mexican restaurant in the area, outside of maybe Panchos which is priced pretty good, maybe the previous reviews experienced a bad cook that day or something, my experience with the restaurant has been the complete opposite...
Worst "Mexican" food in town.
We've been here twice — the first time because we were basically getting paid to eat there and the second time because we had a $10 voucher.
Both times the food was bad. The salsa was like tomato paste and the espinaca was watery (or maybe milky). The food tasted like something you might eat in a school cafeteria, but costs as much or more than most KC Mexican restaurants. The meat used in the tacos reminded me of canned sloppy joe meat — it was that bad.
The good part is the atmosphere. It might be a good place to grab a drink for that reason.
