Overview – It's just minutes away from downtown Kansas City, but location won't matter much once the MAMBA, Boomerang, Detonator, and ThunderHawk have their way with you. At the very least, they'll make you lose your sense of direction. – – Features – The MAMBA is one of the tallest, longest and fastest roller coasters ever built. Jump aboard the Boomerang, a roller coaster that shoots riders through a succession of corkscrew turns and loops, then goes into reverse and retraces the track backwards. Younger thrill-seekers will enjoy Camp Snoopy, a one-acre family…

Seriously World's Of Fun it could be so much better, but not much worse!

My impressions of World's Of Fun, first they need to change the name to reflect the feel of the park, something like "Don't Bother Coming Here Because We Quit Trying Years Ago". The original park infastructure looks like it hasn't seen any regular maintenance since Hunt Midwest sold it in '95. The wooden supports on the buildings are rotting away, they have painted over rust on the steel structures. The park seems horribly understaffed, and the staff they do have is about as enthusiastic as your local Wal-Mart checker and much younger. The lack of staff is reflected all over the park, the bathrooms were disgusting, the loading and unloading of rides took 3 times longer than it should, the water all over the park is now a nasty shade of sewer water with a scent to match. Don't even think about the Fury Of The Nile unless you're caught up on all your shots as there is no telling what kind of bacteria is in the water and the rafts. The food isn't even up to carnival quality, but the prices keep going up, I mean seriously how hard is it to warm up a decent tasting hotdog? The great classic rides, that haven't been dismantled, are probably close to meeting the same fate as the Orient and the Zambizi Zinger. It looks as though they have only spent money on the coasters, which are still fun, but the rest of the experience was horribly disappointing and unfortunately it is someplace I will not be returning to unless there are some big changes for the better. I'm sure I missed something else that disgusted me, but you get the idea.
Fun for the kids

not a great place to go with 3 little ones without help especially during busy hours. Lines can get long at times and food is overpriced. Make sure you have snacks for your little one if he is a picky eater and won't get fast food. I couldn't find anything healthy here to eat.
The Only Choice?

I'm a kid at heart; I LOVE amusement parks. The problem with Worlds of Fun is that it's the only one! Because of that, I think the park has come to take itself for granted. The workers are seemingly unhappy and lethargic and it makes being there a less than comfortable experience. For children though, it doesn't matter. If you have children and live nearby, this is definitely the place to be. If you're an older kid (like me) consider a roadtrip elsewhere. Don't forget...parking isn't free!
- Pros: Price, Good for kids
- Cons: , Average for adults, Staff

it's the only amusement park close enough for a one day trip if you're in topeka, and it has original rides, not like chain parks. it was definitely at it's best in the 80s but it's still fun.

Great place to spend a day. Always has ticket deals going on, so not too expensive. Best selection of rides out of any amusement park in the world. Fun stuff to do for people of all ages. Always fairly clean also, which is a lot to ask for in an amusement park!
