I hate these people. I still have my braces on. I have had them on since july of 2007. I don't feel like he does things to have my teeth straight. Pretty much he just replaces colors.I feel like my teeth are straight enough and that my braces could come off and i've expressed this opinion to Dr. Crist. I don't like him as a doctor. I think He is stuck up and only has conversations with certain people in the office. He never talks to me or my family and we all try and start conversations. He talks the whole time he's changing my colors. I don't like having his hairy chest in my face. It's so gross and unprofessional. I've had one nice assistant. The rest were stuck up and rude. I always feel uncomfortable. They always and I mean always it seems purposefully put their boobs on my head and that's gross. He isn't taking good care of my teeth. I have never liked him and anyone I have talked to about Dr.Crist that has previously had him the have complained. I have heard he has had many Malpractice suits filed. He doen't get your teeth done in a timely fashion and they aren't carful cutting wires. I don't reccomend anyone going there. He sucks as a doctor and his assistants suck and the women in the office are downright bitchy.…
Great Experience. I read alot of bad reviews, but when i got braces for myself and daughter we were always treated nicely and it was a pleasant visit.Myself and daughter are happy with the results.I was always told my jaw would have to be broken to line up my teeth because I had an open bite and Dr. christ is the only one that said he could fix it without doing that..and so he did and I would recommend him and plan on going back for my other children when its time...I would have never thought to have heard bad things....…
Really bad orthodontic experience!.
When I went in to Dr. Crist’s office for a free consultation, he appeared an orthodontist who cares about his patients. It is unfortunate that I did not do any research on him before I made the
decision because I just recently found out that many others have had a bad experience with him also. I was definitely deceived by what he told me he could do, and that it would take a shorter time to achieve the results since my teeth were not that bad. After almost 8 months, I asked to see if we are still on track as far as the treatment term, and one of his assistants replied that it was just an estimated timeframe given by Dr. Crist, and that it is not uncommon for a treatment to take 24 months or longer. Yet, Dr. Crist assured me that as long as I follow all their instructions and keep all my scheduled appts., which I did, it would only be 18 months. Misleading? Yes, just so that I would choose him. The consultation is a mere “sales” tactic for their office because once the braces are on, be prepared for a whole different experience. The staff was rough in my mouth and Dr. Crist did not allow a few minutes to answer questions and address concerns. I could not ask him any questions because he was already on to another patient. When I snuck in a question, his responses were very short (a single line statement-type response). I always left the office with the feeling of “I wonder if”. His assistants were no better. Though there was the one who took the time to explain and made me feel good about the decision about getting braces. I only saw her once or twice so I do not remember her name (Jen, I think). She had brown hair. I even asked the receptionist to schedule me for “Jen” to do my adjustments on future visits but that never happened. I never saw her again. I wonder if she is even there anymore.
Every time I called, the receptionist would try to answer my question just so she would not have to take a message for one of Dr. Crist’s assistants to call me back; yet she was not qualified to answer the “technical” questions but she felt she was simply because she had braces before. She told me that Dr. Crist and his assistants were too busy to return calls. They were always too busy for patient questions and concerns, but not too busy to deceive new patients at the consultations. She was rude and short with me. They will not make an appointment unless it is an absolute must just so they do not have to spend a few extra minutes on a patient.
So besides the unfriendly atmosphere, lack of care and concern for patients, and no time to address issues raised, Dr. Crist’s poor experience shows in his work. I was treated by Dr. Crist for 9 months and it was very discouraging. I told myself “enough is enough” and no longer wanted to subject myself to the uncomfortable experience. I just cannot believe that I did not think of discontinuing services with him sooner. There are many good orthodontists out there in the KC metro area who are more experienced and caring. I felt like a product in a factory being moved in and out, of his office. So just be careful, he may just be telling you what you want to hear. You may be wearing your braces much longer than what he tells you; furthermore, his experience in orthodontics may prolong your treatment. A friend told me her neighbor’s daughter was in braces for 6 years. Yes, Dr. Crist was her orthodontist! I would not recommend Dr. Crist to anyone!…

braces. Hated my experience there. Got my braces when I was an early teen. Got receded gums because of it. Wish I was told the proper way to care for my teeth with the braces on. Also remember the staff wasn't to friendly. They were usually rough with clipping and putting new wires on.…
