Hotels >Crown Lodge
Well what do we say?? Dirty, mouldy and from one of the reviews I read it hasnt changed in 5 years.Like the other reviewer said it is in a good area just out of town but yes we probably should have got right in the car and left but we were tired.I wouldnt reccommend this hotel to anyone..Owners were very pleasant but it didnt make up for condition of room or the high price payed[$52 a nyt]We have been travelling across the USA and this is the worst/expensive we have come across!!!
: ( Filthy!! I paid/checked in, saw the room, requested a refund and checked out.. This is my first review. I was looking for a hotel in this area and could not find any reviews on this place so took a chance and got a room. By the way, they do not take reservations on weekends. It is first come first served. The location is convenient and the single room rates are under $30. I got a double room (2 full beds) for about $50 plus a $5 deposit for 1 key and the television remote (which I thought was bit odd). The room was awful. Beat up furniture, burnt out light bulbs, cigarette holes in the comforters, stained pillow cases, trashed carpet and a gap under the door big enough the allow any types of things in the room. The air conditioner DID work though. It reminded me of one of those hotels you see in fugitive movies. I guess if you are desperate for a place to stay it would suffice as a place to sleep, just pretend you are camping with someone else's dirty bedding. They quickly gave me a refund upon request. The man who checked us in was nice and I believe he said it best when he said, "This is Crown Lodge, not Crown Center."
