Hate to be Debbie Downer

When planning for a wedding one is always looking for some type of bargain. When I found that the Jr. Bridesmaids dresses that I wanted were $200 I called The Lady Who Makes Dresses to see if she could make them for me. The first question that she asked me is, how much were the dresses that you wanted. I replied that they were $200. She said, I can't do it any cheaper; fabric is high and labor is high. Then silence. If I were running a business that surely has to be suffering because the economy, I might try to actually listen to my customer to see what is that they actually needed. I'm guessing that she won't make it through the recession. Good luck if you try to have your dresses made by this "Lady," Yeah right.

Barbara Williams is a miracle maker and overall wonderful woman. If you are seeking personal attention, a detail oriented seamstress and a woman with commercial experience, Barbara is it! I contacted her on a Sunday morning when most businesses are closed. Not only did she answer, but she said she would help! I am an officer in the US Army, and my now husband and I, decided to marry before I deployed to Iraq. The story goes as follows, my Mom flew out from Washington state with seven dresses in a box. I tried on a few and found one that I not only truly liked, but fit well. But like every bride, I did not think it was perfect. In my words it was "too poofy." This is where Barbara came in, over the phone she was easy to connect with and very easy going in person. She allowed my Mother and I to come to her business immediately following our telephone conversation. Barbara instantly went to work, making an already wonderful dress, perfect. She is truly talented. She also made a wrap and my veil. During the course of our conversation, I also found out that not only does she make dresses, alter dress, but she also makes costumes for large theatrical productions and for the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders. WOW!

I had ordered my two bridesmaids dress very early... too early to know that I was going to be 6 months pregnant by the time both weddings rolled around. Naturally, I needed someone who could make miracles happen. Barbara Williams was FANTASTIC. She was efficient, very nice to work with, and she did an amazing job on my dresses. Her rates were very reasonable and I was delighted with the overall experience. I'll recommend her to all my friends and family without hesitation. One note: her place is kind of hard to find esp. if you're driving in the evening, so make sure to have her phone number handy when getting there.
