didn't meet my expectations. It was good atmosphere, exactly what you would expect for a bbq joint. But I wasn't that impressed with the BBQ itself. I especially didn't like the original bbq sauce. I much prefer Danny Edward's.

Enough food to induce a coma. Tasty tasty TASTY!!!. Awesome awesome BBQ. I regularly drive 150 miles just to eat at AB's. Of course, 18th and Brooklyn is the only one to visit. The portions are absolutely ridiculous, you WILL be sick if you eat it all. I usually eat there just before leaving town, then enjoy cruise control all the way home. Then it's nap time. For the best and the most Q for your buck, I highly recommend AB's.

Tasty burnt ends and fries. hmmm, how can I convey my life long true love for arthur bryant's!?

My tummy is getting grumbly just thinking about it.

I go in and get my order to go. I'll get the burnt ends and fries

which comes with the sweet sauce. They will throw it on the burgundy

take out paper, add the wonderfully stark white wonder bread, yell

out "pickles" and with a nod from me the drooling customer, toss on

about 2 cups of them, and smush it all together and seal with a

yellow bryants sticker. mmmm.

Smuch the fries you say, (gasp) now why would any self respecting

human do such a thing! Something magical happens when you seal the

bbq and leave it its devices. The bread gets all smushy and melds

with the sauce and burnt ends. The fries get in on the action on the

side and you get these amazing bites of soggy fry and bread and meat

wonderment.

*drool.

well, now that i have fullly tortured myself 2 thousand miles away,

please do take my recommendation to heart and ENJOY!!!

eat a fry for me.

Been to some of the best "Q" places in this country - There's nothing to compare to AB's. One diner gets in line...The other gets a table - It's pure joy on Brooklyn Ave ...Whatever the size of the line...Just wait! You won't be sorry. Incredible Beef Brisket and Ribs.....Legitimate fresh cut fries, too. Bring your appetite. Just an amazing BBQ experience. You'll see people dressed to the nine's standing in line with people barely dressed. They're all there for the same thing...To enjoy perhaps this Country's best "Q"

Bring Back the old sausage!. The sausage has changed in the last year, no longer like an italian style sausage, now some type of sliced sausage. I now have to go elsewhere when craving a bbq sausage sandwitch, The BBQ beef sandwich is still the best in KC, nice tender juicy meat and that gritty sauce that makes it unique.

The old sausage was better!

In a city of great barbeque.... This place takes the cake, or the sauce as it were. Of all the amazing barbeque joints in KC this is the best. Nothing except meat that has been smoked for ages, fries that induce a heart attack on sight and sauce that is good enough to eat with nothing except the bread you grab from open bags in the cafeteria line. You haven't been to KC until you have eaten at the Original Arthur Bryant's at 18th and Brooklyn.

We need Arthur in California!. WOW! I have heard of barbeque my entire life but until I got to Arthur Bryant's I never knew what all the hype was about. The food was awesome! Great sauces..mouth watering generous portions of meat, and a relaxed atmosphere like you are sitting in someones kitchen. I can't wait til my next visit to Arthur Bryant's!

unusal BBQ. What's with the gritty sausage and the grainy sauce? Very fun to visit though.

this is REAL BBQ. i'm a native to KC, MO and i've been all over the U.S. and never found anything that can stand up to the excellent flavor that Bryants BBQ has to offer.. mayve it's the sauce or the old building where all the food has been smoked for decades...what ever it is, i will continue to go back until i'm and old raggady women. :D

overrated. livingon reputation, even though the family is no longer around to uphold it- o.k. for a trip through memory lane and to enjoy the humongous order of fries- if you want real KC BBQ then head out to any of a dozen other joints for a better meal.
