You wouldn't notice that Towfiq is even a restaurant from the outside ... but I luckily figured it out one day. I live in the neighborhood and occasionally buy groceries from the place next door. One day my roommate and I were walking by and realized that Towfiq was indeed a restaurant and decided to try it out. There were quite a few things to choose from such as samosas, rice, veggies, different seasoned meat, espresso drinks, etc. They don't speak a lot of english so I pointed and told them to fix me a plate of everything except for the meat and it was amazing! There are good portions for low prices and the spices they use are amazing! They have a lot of meat option and my roommate said they were all really good. I think it was lamb, beef and chicken. It looks like it's a family that owns it and they are all really sweet. When you are done there's a Second Chance thrift store diagnol from the restraunt you should check out! Towfiq is open until 9 or ten and the thrift store only until 8pm except for sundays. If you are in the area you could also check out Cliff Drive it's a beautiful historical and scenic area of the northeast. That's it! it's GOOD ! Try it!
