Family Favorite. Giovanni's has been a famiy favorite for years. Wednesday night was the "spaghetti dinner on the way to violin practice" treat. Only complaint is as one kid took their lesson the other would devour the bread before we could get it home. It was that tempting.

Huge portions, good prices, everyone in our office (three blocks away) makes it a once a week ritual for a reason. Two thumbs up!

Really good food. I love Giovanni's - it is GOOD. Come hungry because their portions are HUGE. They have a really good reuben - it doesn't get better than that. The people who work there are nothing but nice. It is a very small place, so get it to go, but boy is it worth it. I think the prices are a little steep, but again, they give you TONS of food.

The enivronment is italian neighborhood friendly. Nothing wrong with the people who work or dine there.

Great little Italian deli!. Giovanni's is one of my favorite places for lunch. If you love Italian food, you can't miss with Giovanni's Deli. The atmosphere is casual...it is a deli after all, and the service is friendly. The food is wonderful. My favorites include the cheese ravioli, lasagna, and spaghetti with meatballs. I highly recommend it! They also have great cold cuts.

Food=good. I thought I should defend this place alittle from the other review. I've been there plenty and never felt uncomfortable in the environment. I've seen construction workers eat there and maybe the other guy felt they looked like felons? It's rude to judge by looks man. Anways, I love the food. What I've had at least. Toast cheese ravioli is a fav and the garlic toast with ranch dressing. The olive salad was good.

Only complaints, asked the owner why they don't have tiramisu because that's a classic italian dessert, he replied "Guess I just don't feel like messing with it". Um, when a customer suggests a possible good idea to increase some sales....you don't say something like that. And it's a small environment so you may have to wait to sit and eat, but never to long. Most people are considerate as to not hang around when they see others waiting for a seat.

Avoid at All Costs. Stopped by, saw place filled with hanging out with known convicted felons. Lunch resulted in a meal, cold, and eaten in a bug-infested atmosphere. Saw sh*t of unknown animals in the area. Given the customer atmosphere and the sh*t, terrible food, insects - avoid at all costs. Smell in building which not exactly cigars or cigarettes -- but the smell of something smoked inside or customers -- won't speculate. Owner turns out to have charges filed against him for stalking others despite advertising being "against crime." Ironic, especially since regular patrons who hang out often are felons convicted of violent crimes. More ironic because we had to refine this critic because certain "words" are not allowed to be included. Even if the words and descriptions are the truth. beware as this ad has been edited so at least it can be posted.
