Best BBQ in Kansas City. They had me at ribs! The ribs are great, and the baked beans are a perfect accompaniment. The food is served fast, fresh, and piping hot. Service is excellent and my waitress remembered me from my first visit. ;)

The BEST in KC!. They are the best in KC! Smokehouse has the best cheesy corn, the beans are delicious and their brisket is to die for. Some people prefer Aurthur Bryant's which is excellent too for those time when you want pure sloppy bbq. Which is good to have on an occasion. But if you want less mess, then Smokehouse is for you. See all those other resturants that boast KC bbq ain't in KC. lmao like Fiorella's Jack Stack, they are in JOHNSON COUNTY where the snobs live, and sorry but OVERLAND PARK, KS ain't KANSAS CITY, MO. Restuarants like that are trying to capitalize on the success of real bbq. Sorry Jack Stack close but no cigar!

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Family-friendly barbecue restaurant offers three locations and serves pork ribs, baby back ribs, chicken, seafood and steaks at affordable prices.

Best BBQ beans in the world!. Ribs, bleh! But the Chopped Brisket, BBQ beans, BBQ chicken and smoked turkey are fantastic! Did I mention the beans! They are in a sweet BBQ sauce with chunks of pork and beef. This location kind of stinks (it's old, very smokey). The atmosphere at the Zona Rosa and Indenpendence Center locations are much cleaner and more enjoyable.

Tries to imitate Jack Stack BBQ, but with little success. Seems like they're trying to imitate Jack Stack BBQ. Same dishes, even naming them the same as Jack Stack. The bbq isn't exactly bad here, but Jack Stack has them beat on quality and service. Between the two different places, it's always the original, Jack Stack Barbecue.

Bar Buh GUH!. My friends and I, about a group of 20, went to Smokehouse BBQ one evening. We called in advance earlier that noon and was told that a large group was no problem and they had plenty of seating. When we arrived they did not have our table ready, and didn't know that we were gonig to be there. Wouldn't split the check, made us all sit at different tables.

Smokehouse BBQ. I love Smokehouse. I moved away from KC, but that is one of my first places to visit and the last. I have to get some food to go. AWESOME FOOD. I wish I could get BBQ like that where I live now!

Best Ribs Ever!!!. The ribs and the pit beans are to die for. And one of the few bbq houses to get smoked salmon. The homemade smoked saugage is excellent.

"Good Food / Good Meat......". My whole family went with us to Smokehouse. We are all Southern born and raised, and are used to a different style of BBQ. However, out of all the ones I have sampled here in KC, this one is by far my favorite. If you go, make sure you get the baked beans, they are spectacular.
