Best Donuts in Town!. Lamar's has go to be the best donuts in town. I am addicted to donuts and Lamar's is the reason! LOL. BIG donuts, not those little premade cakey donuts that you get at other CHAIN places. Lamar's is the best of the best.

Tasty Fluffy donuts. I think they may have changed their name since I moved away, but I grew up with "Lamar's"

I would be treated with a trip to Lamar's as a young child to get a fresh donut on an early saturday morning. I always loved the glazed and the well, I don't know the technical name, but out in california we call them french crullers i think. at age 10 i called them "tractor wheels". not to be mixed up with the non eggy version that is more like a cake donut. these guys were so light and eggy they would almost melt in your mouth and NEVER left me clutching my stomach thinking "oh god, i think i ate too much donut".

I moved away from my beloved Lamar's at age 14. The following years I would come to realize that perhaps i was just young and disillusioned. So i tried to duplicate that feeling in california, with no luck!

so be thankful you can eat a tractor wheel, cause I can't! hmmph.
