Nice.
I've only been there once. The food was 'ok' but that was my fault because I only ordered chicken strips. The service and staff are extremely nice and the inside of this place is impressive.

Sports talk and more sports talk brings patrons to this restaurant within a sports museum..
The Scene
A colorful fixture in northern Kansas City, Chappell's offers an impressive display of sports artifacts. Flags, autographed pictures, trophies, and plaques line the walls and ceiling in a haphazard way, serving as eye-candy for both the obsessive and casual sports buff.
The Food
The main draw is the novelty of the museum, but Chappell's also takes its food seriously. Going above and beyond the typical bar fare (which is also available), there is a "lite menu," as well as healthy dishes like rainbow trout amandine. The trout, a tender grilled filet sprinkled with toasted almonds, is ideal for weight-worriers.

Sports freak!.
For the record, USA Today recently named Chappell's as one of the Top 10 sports bars in America. Jim Chappell personally walks through the bar and restaraunt, greeting customers, every chance he gets. He's about as friendly as they get here in Kansas City. And he has to have one the largest collections of sports memorabilia in the world. There's to much stuff to display! From over a thousand football helmets hanging from the ceiling, to a Heisman, and to my personal favorite- a Wolrd Series Trophy ('83 I think). Good eats, good drinks, and you couldn't ask for a better atmosphere!
