In Short – In business for more than 50 years, Jasper's is a tradition in Kansas City. The rustic Italian interior is framed by a set of 80-year-old doors and highlighted by well-placed mirrors. Service is relaxed but prompt. The ambitious menu includes veal, seafood, poultry, beef and fresh chops, and the wine list is extensive. Pastas and desserts are made in-house.

Just went for dinner and had to write about the tableside preparation of homemade mozzarella cheese! All I can say is AMAZING!! This is a GREAT place!!

Wow! Ithought I was back in Italy, Jasper's has to be THE BEST ITALIAN restaurant I have been to. I had the shrimp appetizer and it was to die for and the osso bocco fell off the bone it was so moist. For dessert, they have this strolling dessert cart that looked like an masterpiece, I ordered the bread pudding and my husband had the ricotta tort, WOW!!!
The atmosphere is casual, the service was above par, they really know how to pamper you.
I met the chef, he signed a cookbook for me and then gave me a complimentary Limoncello liquor that he makes, this place deserves ALL THE AWARDS and kudos to the chef and owners!!!!

I thought the ambiance was very nice, and the bread they serve with the meal was really good. The food, was okay, but not excellent. I have lived in Italy before, so I had high expectations. It definately could have been better. The meal I got was one of their signature dishes and it was okay. It was suppose to have Prosciutto di Parma in it, I think it might have had one little chunk of prosciutto. I was disappointed.

Easily Best Italian

Once again, another amazing and overwhelming Italian experience. The food was superb and the staff was very accomodating. Jasper Jr. is a true, all around chef, visiting with his customers and making sure every plate that leaves his kitchen is of the highest quality. By far, the ONLY Italian in Kansas City. Well done.

This is Italian! Not like others with too much emphasis on what people think is Italian. The food is the same as the old, the prices better, and the atmosphere casual. Jasper has done the best with what was already the best!
