What People Are Saying About Pampered Paws Grooming
The Owner
Pampered Paws Grooming
Owner
I am Cheryl Wyrick, the owner and manager of Pampered Paws Grooming, Inc. In my youth I wanted to be a veterinarian. I worked at an animal hospital at the age of sixteen and as an adult I worked at the Humane Society of Greater KC with neglected and homeless pets. After seven years there, I needed to get away from the abuse. I wanted to care for healthy, pampered pets. In 1989, I became a dog and cat groomer with a Vet here in Waldo. In 1998 our grooming staff was getting large enough to branch off into my own business so "Pampered Paws Grooming" was created. I named it after my old dog…
Absolutely Terrible
by sizzlingred at Citysearch
First, this place gave my dog fleas. Second, the owner is very rude. I had called for a quote and was told $18-25. However, when I went to pay, I was told $42. Confused and frustrated, I kindly told the lady at the desk that that is not the price I was told. She finally charged me $25 and I went home. The next day, the owner called yelling and ended up hanging up on me. This was the most terrible experience I have had with a dog groomer - sloppy haircut, rude owner! I will definitely not ever be going back.
What a Great Shop
by Ezerr at Citysearch
This place does fantastic work. The people are super friendly and my dogs always look excellent when we leave. Plus, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Seriously, if you live anywhere near Waldo, check this place out.
My pet is like my child... I am very picky and I trust these people to make my baby beautiful!
by petsrbetter at Citysearch
My little poddle "Tiffany" is like my child. I don't have kids and she is all I have. She trusts me to be particular and not leave her with anyone that would hurt her. I have tried other groomers and the ones at Pampered Paws in Waldo are the best. They have the training to make her beautiful and most importantly they treat her with respect and love while doing rather personal procedures. They do things like "expressing glands" which I didn't even know what it was until I went there. They clean out her ears and do her toe nails without me asking. They do bows and bandanas and paint her toe nails If I ask. They have all natural shampoos too. I could go on and on but the main thing is this... My Tiffany loves them, she looks great and we are both very happy. Try them and you will see!
- Pros: Great location, quick appointments, Cash discount
Best Groomer in Town!
by poodledoodles at Citysearch
Not only will I not go to another groomer in town (even ones closer to my house) but I won't send people anywhere else!
I have been going to this place for several years now. Before I found them I tried a variety of other groomers. My original choice was a lady that I had used for 17years with my previous pooch- but she was closing her business to return to school. I was given the number by my vet after trying several other groomers.
As far as the price goes- I have NO PROBLEM! FIrst of all it is always the same and always what they quote me. Second- it is actually cheaper than the so-called bargain chains that have grooming in creepy rooms in the back of their retail stores.
My dog was a rescue that really had alot of reasons not to trust humans. He would come home just an emotional mess from all the other groomer's that I tried. The first time I took him to Pampered Paws- he came home relaxed and groomed to showing standards.
If you care about your pet give them a call.
- Pros: THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE AND THE GREAT SKILL LEVEL
- Cons: NONE
Much bark and no bite-deliverance
by jlw4774 at Citysearch
Customer service is at an all time low. I can't believe the place passes state codes; it smells, hair everywhere, dogs running around, and dirty kennels. I regret every going there. It is overpriced for the lack of talent, professionalism, and charm. The owner has a lot of bark about her talents and quality but not much bite; deliverance! Take the advice and choose somewhere else, you will thank me later!
- Pros: location and scheduling
- Cons: customer service, outcome, and experience
