Disappointing. I was really excited to try Foo's. I've seen it advertised and have read a good thing or two about it....somehow or another I had it sort of pumped up in my head like it was going to be great.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience. For starters, the place was very dirty and unkempt. It made me a little nervous to even order anything in the first place. The floor was filthy...not just like it hadn't been swept yet that day...but like it hadn't really been deep cleaned in quite some time. That's a major turn-off but I decided to still give it a go.

The next thing that surprised me was the price. For a "mini" (the smallest they have and it is very small) plain vanilla custard with just ONE topping it's something like 3 dollars. I ordered the "german chocolate" suggestion and it was close to $5. They charge 60 cents per ingredient and that one included 4. For that price you would expect it to be exceptional. It was absolutely not.

For one, it tasted like the 'chocolate' I was charged 60 cents for was just plain Hershey's chocolate flavored syrup. That was the main flavor. The second complaint I have was that it was almost completely melted. It was supposed to be a "concrete" but it was just like...when you're a kid and you stir your ice cream up to make it soupy. You can't charge someone these kind of prices for this kind of quality. It really makes a person feel ripped off.

I probably would have returned and tried something else. Maybe give it a second chance..order something that didn't include the chocolate syrup..maybe some ingredients that would justify the high price. BUT. The customer service was the last straw. The two employees were gum-smacking teenage kids and the manager (owner?) spent the entire time I was there LOUDLY complaining about something to another staff member and didn't once so much as say hello or heaven forbid.."Thanks."( for buying my overpriced ice cream). Rude and unprofessional. I will never go back and I will definitely spread the word. I'm a firm supporter of local business but I don't believe this place deserves my support at all.

Best desert in kansas city. Foo's is an amazingly good place to go whether you're with a date or just hang out with friends

Known for its thick "cements"--the blending of vanilla frozen custard and a choice of toppings--Foo's menu boasts over 20 flavors, from the Almost Snickers to the Sassmaster. Pictures of customers sporting Foo T-shirts paper the wall; handmade posters announce new flavors concocted by the teenage staff. Eating a sundae on the benches outside harkens back to high school romance.

Worth it?. Excellent custard, but it comes at a steep price... Be prepared for a wait in line. The custard is heaven...

my dog and i love foo's. foo's has the best custard and they are very pet friendly too. you can let the dogs in the store, but there is always water outside and they have a custard custom made for pooches on their menu.

foo's is always crowded and run by a bunch of idiotic 14 year olds. would be more efficient if they got better help!
