Not like the old Granfalloon. Our company had their Christmas luncheon here this year...Dec 2008....I had not been to the restaurant since its new location....before..years ago...this place had the best burgers and food around...this was a total disappointment...The portobello mushroom sandwich was very small, tasteless and the onion rings were crunchy but cold! Glad I didn't pick up the tab.

Drink, but don't eat, at the Falloon. A family member threw me a wedding shower at the Falloon. I had never ate there, just always ended up there after a night of partying (open late!), so I was excited to see that the Falloon was like in the day time. Well, they put a sign up for the shower, except it had the host's name, not mine. The waitress was less than desireable. I assume because she was getting group gratuity she didn't care much about us even though they were really slow. Our orders were wrong and one friend didn't get her food until the rest of ours were cold. Our sodas were flat, and after we sent them back the waitress still charged us for them. In short, the Falloon is a great bar, but restaurant it is not.

When Granfalloon moved next door to its old location, it went upscale and so did its patrons. Apparently, its old college crowd has graduated, replacing baseball caps with cell phones. But even though Granfalloon's new location is larger and fancier than its old space, it's just as packed as ever, proving that some things never change.

The Draw
There's a good selection of hard liquor, but it's the vast array of international ales and homegrown brews that keeps drinkers coming back. Its location in the Country Club Plaza makes The Granfalloon a great place to brood over important consumer choices. The game room is stocked with pool tables, Golden Tee golf machines, and even pinball, which is becoming an all-too-rare bar sport.

Open Late. One of the few bars on the plaza open past 2:00 am. Always a good fun crowd. Expect a standard bar atmosphere. Fast service and fun times. I have never had the food but I would expect it to be typical bar food.
