Yuck! Not the same little Dublin. The pro's: it's on the Plaza and in a great location if you're out walking around. The con's: everything else! I hadn't been there in a year or so, went specifically for the fish and chips with the yummy coleslaw. It's nothing like it used to be, the fish tasted like Long John Silvers and the coleslaw was out of a bucket. My friends had chicken that was not so good and my other friend had a salad, not sure how you can screw that up, but it obviously it happens.

Very average bar with mellow ambience. We went it because we knew they had an upstairs. There was a lot of smoking but good airflow, so no big deal. There is a little shack upstiars that you can order booz from directly. They had a weak draft selection. The bartenders looked unhappy and the whole place looked pretty dirty. The crowd was averaged, looked like people coming off work. Some old geezers taknig up whole tables which sucked. The place wasn't setup well for people to mingle. The good thing was that they had ledges that you could lean on and put your drink down on and look out over the patio. Good mix of singles and couples, I think it was a good place to meet people.

Partake of Irish food and drink in an imported pub and restaurant that's close to the real deal.. In Short
Nearly all the interior woodwork for O'Dowd's was imported directly from Dublin, and it's hard not to notice the authentic details, like handcrafted stained-glass double doors, upon entering. Stroll on the balcony--the Plaza's only rooftop deck--or get cozy inside. The menu ranges from classic American to Irish pub regulars such as corned beef and cabbage and Dublin-style fish and chips. While the sweet-tooth should opt for the chocolate torte coated with Irish whiskey.
