The best mechanic I've ever had

We've been taking our cars to Hank's for over 10 years. We found them based on a recommendation from boulevard Tires. It's the kind of place where they'll tell you if you don't need a tune-up or oil change if you don't need one. Their prices are fair, we've never been charged more than their original quote, and they've kept our 1996 Isuzu Hombre pickup humming. We've also taken our 1989 Nissan Sentra, 2000 Mazda and our current 2004 PT Cruiser to them and we've been totally happy with their service. Bob is a wizard.

Shade Tree Mechanics done right

I've been using Hank's garage since they were recommended to me by a co-worker in 2007. They work on all cars, but they specialize in imports, and they are the most reasonably-priced garage I have found in the Metro.

Hank's is a small shop, and they are completely honest about what they can and cannot do, so as not to waste their or their customer's time, which I much appreciate.

They have performed various repairs on my 2005 Mazda, including correcting the bonehead mistakes made by a Carstar shop my insurance company insisted I use.

Their prices for hourly labor are fair and reasonable, and they charge wholesale for whatever parts the car needs. I would highly recommend Hank's, and I do, frequently.

Great Place

I've had service work and high dollar repairs done on my van at Hanks. It was always ready when they said it would be and if I did have a problem they took care of it. Sure, I had to make an appointment but that''s to be expected with a mom and pop shop. Good prices too!

Used to be good / going down hill

Took my vehicle in for a simple radiator leak. $500 later radiator is still leaking, plus now car is over heating... Took it back to them and they said they would look it if they found time. Left it all day and apparently they didnt find time. Cant afford to keep messing with them. Wish I had my $500 back.

Good Experience

Very good service. Price was reasonable, and repair efficient. I had a frightening break down on a Sunday evening, and my regular mechanic's shop was chained up with no emergency number listed. I did not know where I would leave the vehicle. I was frantic, the tow truck driver recommended Hank's. I could not have been treated better. The owner is no nonsense. Will definitely go back.
