Best Burger in town. I think this is the best place in town for burgers although the other night I went out of a limb and ordered the Reuben. It was unbelievable. The meat was tender and the bread was grilled to perfection. We happened to be there on a Wednesday which was trivia night. That was fun and people really get into it. Great night -- good food -- cold beer -- doesn't get much better than that.

Ignore the sour grapes reviewers - still the best burger joint!. Are you people serious? this place has always been our favorite place for juicy burgers and COLD beer. If it's confusing to you to order at the counter and pick it up at the window, maybe you SHOULD be eating at Sonic instead.

The bartenders and waitresses are friendly, witty and fast and the portions are HUGE. We've eaten there for nearly 20 years and when friends or family come in town it's the first place we go. If you want a tiny little dried up burger with a thick french bread bun and brie cheese, go to Paris. this place serves stick-to-your-ribs food. If you come in there more than once they remember you and take good care of you. Its a neighborhood kinda place.

To the person who says they're trying to squeeze more $ out of you, well, what business isn't? I dont mind paying a little extra for little extras. and they have a great happy hour and the chicken fried steak on Wed nite is to die for.

This is still the best burger in KC and the atmosphere is what it's always been. We love it and recommend it.

Just avoid. A place you have to be instructed on how it works -all seems geared to get a little more money out of you- while serving you greasy low-quality food. May be good for kids (if you don't mind your kids eating junk) because the place is such junk its like who cares about anything- plus you have to leave them at the table when you go order food. I lost an extra $6.00 because they didn't take credit cards and I used there ATM. Then if you are good natured you still have to leave a tip for the waitress because she brought you some water and asked you if everything was alright. Unclear language on the menu made it so I ordered an extra side and had to get my money back after I realized it. Paid $4.00 for six cheap small greasy onion rings and we could only eat 4 altogether so they were a buck a piece. I Have went here about twice a year for years but will never go again. I could have paid half as much and got twice as much of similar quality at Sonic across the street. I'm not some cheapskate but try to keep it cheap sometimes and like to feel like I got my money's worth- Hard to do here. Pluses include shuffle board and pool table, pinball machines. Go there for that and maybe drinks only.

Not the same place!!!. I stopped by there last week and wanted to order a burger to go. When I found out they were going to charge me an additional .50 ($8.49) for the burger and .25 (.75) for cheese I was a bit upset. I mean really. I had never heard of being charged extra for a to go order. And, nowhere does it say that on the menu. When I got my burger it looked decent but had that large frozen patty look to it. And the cheese was this tiny little square. It wasn't really very tastey either. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. Maybe it should have become an Ooters a few years back because this place has gone downhill in a big way.
