The Scene
The menu covers much of the wall behind the ice cream counter, so allow extra time to decide. Friendly and courteous young people--or maybe even the owner--will take your order. A few tables are inside, with a few more outside to accommodate the overflow. Expect a crowd on warmer nights. A coffee bar beside the ice cream counter serves espresso, cappuccino and coffee.
The Food
Sixteen flavors of ice cream are available at any one time out of more than 200 total recipes, from customary vanilla bean to the sublime fudge raspberry rhapsody. Get a traditional favorite, such as a banana split or sundae, or order one of Murray's specialties. Smooshies take ice cream smooshed together with up to three toppings, including candy-bar pieces and nuts. A lumpy is like a malt, except the ice cream is hand-blended with a spoon.

The ice cream is FANTASTIC....literally the best I've ever had. That's why the lines are so long. Yes, it's expensive but it's specialty. Please please please go to Dairy Queen to get your scoops. And PLEASE know that the customer is NOT always right. I just cringe when I hear a customer say that at an establishment. You're not right - you're cheap and really you would be better served somewhere else.

Me and my family go to Murray's for about everyone's birthday, and on other special occasions. I would highly recommend it for people who want a good cup/cone of ice cream. Yes they weigh the ice cream, but sure tastes good on a hot summer day.

Murray's has great ice-cream. It's located in Westport on Pennsylvania. A little hard to find, but definitely find it. The ice cream is delicious. They can mix anything into it. The staff is young and a lot of fun. They have a tip jar out to help them pay for college. Great idea for a nice day. Get ice cream and sit outside at one of their tables.

Parking:
Parking is limited at the location's busy cul-de-sac, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when Westport is buzzing. There are several lots skirting the area, so you may have to walk a ways to get there.
