Free coffee refills and budget rates make this motel tops with highway travelers..
In Short
The first Super 8 opened in Aberdeen, S.D., in 1974, charging $8.88 a night. Today, the national franchise, with its familiar red-and-yellow sign, still stands for dependable rooms at wallet-friendly prices. A staple for road-tripping families, truck drivers and tour groups, the motel offers complimentary morning coffee and continental breakfasts. Another perk for travelers: Super 8 travel cups may be refilled for free at any of the motel's locations.
Good Budget Stay!. After reading the reviews on this place, I was a little concerned. It is now an Econo Lodge as well.I took a chance since many of them were from a year or two ago. I was not failed as I found the room was very reasonably priced. It was clean and the amenities were useful. The wireless internet worked fine. The hotel is conveniently located and the service was very friendly.
Total Piece of Crap.
I found it hard to sleep, as I could hear everyone in the hallway. The next morning I found the water pressure in the shower varied from a trickle to a fast trickle. The temperature also changed from hot to warm to cold. Talk about a waking nightmare!
The continental breakfast was great if you wanted very little of anything.
The desk staff did not ask if I enjoyed my stay. I have no doubt they did not want to hear what I would have told them.
