Tips for Montessori Academy At Crown

It is nice to send your child to a school you can trust. I really like all the teachers and am happy my child goes here.

Good solid staff who works with you for a good location and price.. My Baby started at the Monterssori at Crown Center almost one year ago. They are wonderful. When he first started going there he was 2 months and was only calm with a mobile on his crib. They said it was no problem to bring a mobile for his assigned crib. As he got older if I requested they work with him on sitting or crawling or a new word they would do so and by the end of the day or week he would be advancing. They always informed me of if or when a food did not agree with him and frequently gave suggestions. Not all staff is equal, but there is at least one good person in each of the rooms. I loved the fact that the children and care givers are all diverse in race and language. Right now I believe there are 3 Spanish speaking care givers. Last but not least...every New Year the owner brings all of her family in and watches the children for free until 1:00. Holly, the owner has grandchildren of her own and is also hands-on if staff is short. My child has compeletly benefited from attending the Montessori Academy at Crown Center.

Convenient, decent prices, but feels staff is either inexperienced, under paid, overworked, or just doesn't care. This is a very decent location and the waiting list wasn't too long before I could start my infant. It was recommended to me by a friend at work who's child gets a lot of attention.

They tell you about everything on a sheet everyday, which is great. They are open to you calling a checking in and stopping in anytime to see how things are going without an appointment. They have extra clothes in case you forget anything and they provide the formula for an extra $10 a week. It's clean and there's activities to do everywhere for the children. There's a spanish woman there that speaks spanish to the kids every day to help them learn a little diversity. I liked that.

I felt my baby wasn't getting a lot of attention. He went from sleeping 6 hours through the night to waking up every 2 hours in the night. Every time I stopped by he was in a swing either sleeping or awake. I felt a hint of laziness and I knew one had a night job (which gived me the impression she doesn't have the energy during the day.

I am a first time mom, so I don't know what to expect. This may be normal. I don't know what a good solution would be. I used my instinct though and looked for other places.
