will never eat here again!. This used to be one of my favorite places to visit I won't go back. Last night after an important event we stopped in we were seated at a table for four even though we had a baby in need of a high chair after being moved we were greeted or should I say not greeted by a very rude server. still dont know his name. The service was terrible. He mumbled wasn't interested in answering questions about service. the food was ok, but my stomach hurts today ugh. Then to add insult to injury I was charged 18% gratuity for someone who surely did not deserve a two dollar tip none the less 10 thanks Margaritas for being rude I will never visit again, especially since when I was not happy all I got was well it says on the menu you are charged the gratuity, not once sorry your server was sub par.…
POOREST SEVICE EVEAR. I ordered take out today from Margaritas. I had to wait 10 minutes at the bar before anyone came to wait on me. Then I gave her the names for the orders, and she didn't have that right. Then I opened the bags and I asked where are the chips, she said we don't provide chips on to go orders unless you order $25.00 of food. Okay, why give me salsa, and I ordered guac and had no chips because she said it was only 1/2 order, what difference does that make ? What good is salsa with NO chips. Then the food was cold, and disgusting. I will never return to this place again. The Bar waitress was snotty and that is no way to treat a paying customer. This place has really gone to the dogs!!!!!…
worst restaurant experience in a very long time. Have been here many times before and thought it was okay. But tonight was a disaster from beginning to end. The host was rude, and the waitress was inattentive. When our chips and drinks were refilled, it was on top of the empty, dirty plates already on the table. Food we oredered was forgotten, and one entree was served about 10 minutes before the rest of the table got there food. Had to ask for things 2-3 times and still didn't get them. After waiting quite some time, finally went to the bar to pay so we could leave as we couldn't find our waitress.…

Margarita's is definitely NOT authentic Mexican food. They are tex-mex food. However, they are the best tex-mex food I have eaten in KCMO or KCK. They have the best tacos I have ever tasted. If
you want real Mexican food, you will have to venture down to 7th and Kansas Ave and eat at the Taconazo.
As far as service: I have to admit, slow and rudish...but it's still worth the food for me. The food comes quickly, but don't look for waiter staff after your food arrives - because they will nowhere in sight.
As far as smoking: I am an ex-smoker. There are two sections - which are separated by an entire wall - a smoking section (the bar side) and the non-smoking section. (I am talking about the SW BLVD location.) If you don't like smoke, don't sit on the bar side. On a different note - I think it's ridiculous that smoking is being banned in places where there is a bar. Bars are generally where people go to drink AND smoke. If you don't want to smell smoke - eat in johnson county...
