What People Are Saying About La Bodega

In Short – In Spain, tapas represents the Spanish custom of placing a piece of bread over a glass of wine, signifying leisure and good humor. The wine is said to be the medium that holds the conversation with friends and food together. La Bodega does just that by offering an open-floor plan and fine wines. Popular entrees include the roasted red peppers stuffed with tuna and rice and the ham-wrapped dates filled with chorizo.
Editor's Tips
- What to Drink:
- The Sangria Rojo is a "top secret" mix of red wine, brandy, orange liquor and assorted fruit juices. For a white sangria, try the Sangria Blanco.
Great environment

There's no disputing that the restaurant looks really cool, and it's a great place to hang out with friends, and such, like you would in a traditional tapas bar in Spain. However, the food is really just okay. Do not go there expecting anything remotely authentic, though, as what they claim to be chorizo is actually Mexican chorizo, which is not even comparable to real Spanish chorizo. Also, the jamon serrano on the bocadillo was cut so thinly all you could note was the strange sauce spread on it. Overall, though, its a pretty cool little restaurant, which I'd recommend, as long as you are not looking for authentic Spanish tapas.
Love it

You may get a waitress that seems like she has no clue what she is doing more often than not, but the food is great, the patio is wonderful, and the atmosphere is awesome.
I will always return to La Bodega when I am in a tapas mood.
Not at all what it use to be

This place WAS as good as anything I've had in Spain... Then they changed chefs and things went down hill from there. It seemed every time we went, they had changed the menu item and it was always for the worst. We went for the last time the other day. Never again. Too bad, for this was our favorite place and we would go 2 or 3 times a week in the summer. RIP old friend!
- Pros: Half price tapas, drink specials!
- Cons: New chef, restrictions on happy hour prices
Nice atmosphere, great location, fun food

Went for Happy Hour pricing (sangria & tapas 1/2 off til 6PM). I am glad I did. I suspect they were watering down the sangria a bit, but it was very good. Get the red over the white.
The paella is very tasty and meant to share. Will go back - during happy hour - again.
- Pros: Atmosphere, diverse menu
- Cons: parking
