Real Mexican food that real Mexican people eat... not this midwestern garbage they try to pass for Mexican food!.
When I moved to KC from California I was heartbroken to leave my bevy of delicious Mexican and south American food places. I tried maybe 30 restaurants in KC and was about to give up when I found a tiny hole in the wall establishment called El Pueblito... I went in, ordered, expecting the same nasty "queso" over the same nasty canned beans, and to my amazement I got real Mexican cheese on my enchiladas. No Parmesan, no cheddar, no Monterey jack! It was fantastic! I ordered mole next and it was sweet, chocolaty and perfectly done. The service is friendly, they dont always speak the best English, but that makes it even better :) I love how authentic it is! Everyone is nice, they're happy to serve you and the food is killer!

Authentic Mexican Family Food.
Most of the Mexican restaurants in KC are Tex-Mex. El Pueblito is fresh and true south of the border cusine. The price is right too. If you're on the Boulevard - give it a try.
