I like this restaurant very much. It's one of the few places you can get frijoles charros, whole beans, instead of refried beans. I usually order a shrimp quesadilla. The shrimp are fresh, plump and delicious. It's a very friendly atmosphere.

Great authentic food. This is the best food we have had since eating at Pepper's Cantina family restaurant in St. George, Utah!

The food was delicious, fast and reasonably priced. Service was great! We will be back soon!

NOISY!. Too many large groups of rowdy drunks screaming in a reverberant environment. Too bad because the food's good and the servers are friendly.

Best in KC That I've Tasted So Far. Ever since moving here from Southern Arizona, where I lived for more than 20 years, I've been looking for a Mexican restaurant that approaches authentic. Taqueria Mexico is far and away the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've found in KC after 4 years of searching. They make good, simple Mexican food. It could be considerably spicier but they have to market to a MidWest clientele so it's understandable to tone it down a bit. The quality is consistent, the prices are very reasonable, the service is almost always excellent and the atmosphere (especially the location on Rainbow) is very comfortable. For those of you in the know... try the ceviche tostada. It beats any other ceviche in town (if you can find it anywhere else that is).

Tacos the way I knew them in Mexico.... I lived in Mexico for about a year and one of my favorite things to do was eat at the taco stands. These were tacos that I had never had before, simple and tasty. No heavy cheese, no ground beef and no heavy condiments, just simple tacos. The tacos here are like I remember in my time in Mexico. Check it out especially on Saturday night when they occassionally will have mariachi's perform.

Excellent!. We were so surprised to find such a nice taste of Mexico right here in Kansas City. After moving here from California, we have had a hard time finding good Mexican food. Now, we have an excellent choice in Taqueria Mexico.

The food is great! The ambiance is casual, fun and friendly. The staff is friendly and helpful. A great place for a casual date or for the whole family.

The guacamole and salsa are both particularly good and very fresh!
