With programs designed for both business travelers and families, this property takes service seriously. Business travelers can take advantage of guest office rooms stocked with phone, fax and printer. For families, a kids' club provides coloring books, bath toys and a phone line dedicated to bedtime stories. All visitors are treated to signature Heavenly Beds with pillow-top mattresses, cushy down blankets and crisp white sheets ranging in thread count from 180 to 250.

Construction in the area and in front of the hotel made it a bit difficult to reach and from where you left your vehicle you were required to haul your luggage from one end of the hotel to the other to get to the reception desk, there also didn't appear to be any sort of bell hop service to help ease the growing pains the front of the hotel was experiencing.. The staff at the reception desk was very helpful and nice. The concierge was not very knowledgeable beyond what was on his xeroxed map & didn't really seem very comfortable in the role. Our room was very nice. When we needed to get our vehicle from the valet, often the valet was nowhere to be found for up to 1/2 hr (this would be with calling down with advance notice of needing the vehicle) & then all of a sudden several would appear. Other than a few bad experiences with the concierge and valet service we enjoyed the hotel. Our room was very nice and had a good view. The public areas of the hotel were very nicely done. It is near Union Station & has a covered pedestrian walkway to it. Crown plaza also has a small mall attached, mostly geared towards tourists and has a nice department store called Halls Crown center. There is also a movie theater and what looks like a few theaters that put on plays and shows. The hotel is located between downtown and country club plaza so there is no lack of things to see and do.

We greatly enjoyed staying at the Westin. The hotel was modern, but classy. Excellent fitness center and pool area. Nice rooms with awesome bathrooms. We had a beautiful view of the Union Station and the Liberty Memorial. Highly recommend this hotel, due to this experience we now place Westin's at the same level as Ritz-Carlton's and Intercontinental's. The only negative is that the in-room high-speed internet was not free like most hotels.

Cons: Distance from airport, Internet not free
