Totally disagree with these people. Clean, great food. Service can be a little slow but that's because it's a busy place. Ecclectic crown but the gay contingent isn't "making out". Whoever said you couldn't get a slice of lime for your drink was flat out lying. I had to tell bartender twice I didn't want lime. Lots of good vibes in the place.…

I agree with John1940. When visiting my family in K.C. I decided to drop in and give this place a try because the tenderloin sandwiches came highly recommended. Granted the sandwich was excellent, and the beer was cheap, but that was about all the place had to offer.

The owner sits at the end of the bar like a dark shadow and indeed, makes humiliating comments to his own staff, and forces his extreme political views on all who are within earshot.

The little redhead waitress that served me was bright and cheerful, but obvioulsy streched to do a good job for what she would probably not even get a tip from most of her customers for doing.

And I would also agree that "cheap" would well describe a bar and grill where you can't get a twist of lime in your drink because they dont even carry them.

I mean, it's a BAR AND GRILL and I cant get a wedge of lime with my Corona????

I would also have to agree that the people who mull around the outside have a certain "homeless" air about them and they do indeed drift inside.

I however did not see any gay people "making out" when I was there at lunch time. It seemed to be a mix that varied from bankers to panhandlers and evey type in between.

One point that I would like to make. IT'S SUMMER! Turn the AC on!

Basically, there are better places with less opressive atmosphere to get a good sandwich and a beer in K.C.…
