New Favorite Restaurant. One question.... how did I not know about this restaurant? I am so glad I have found it!! From the food to the service, everything was excellent!! I can not wait to go back!

For our entree we ordered Scallops, Veal and Duck. All of which were amazing but the Duck was over the top. If you are willing to try or already like Escargot then you MUST order this! A little suggestion, dip your bread into the butter and garlic sauce after the Escargot is gone. Also ordered the Warm Goat Cheese Salad. Oh my goodness, it was delicious!! Really, I can't say enough about the whole experience. You need to check this place out!

major disappointment. I had hoped for a fun evening at this place, but instead when i ordered their artichoke appetizer, which was missing the heart of the artichoke when it was served, I was accused of lying when I complained, and then the waiter suggested I leave the restaurant since I was un happy with the food. To pay $15 for an artichoke with no heart (so they could use it themselves for another dish) is total fraud. And to pretend it was me that didn't understand the "dish" is really over the top. I did leave, so I cannot comment on their main courses, but be VERY careful with this place.

Foubulous. Loved every aspect of this cozy place. Eclectic art and signs, friendly owners, knowledgable staff; and the food unbelievable. I ventured to try the kangaroo after the waiter "highly recommended" and it was tender and juicy as he claimed. My wifes fish entree was wonderful and looked like an architects model...presentation, presentation, presentation....

The 2 items that were the best I've ever had were the Lobster Bisque and the French vanilla ice cream. Best in class. Pricey yes, but we will return for those special occassions - you can't take it with you!

Kansas City is a really great city...with really great food...who knew?!. After reading the two negative or temperate reviews on this site, the skepticism cultivated from years in NYC kicked in and I wasn't sure if we were getting ourselves into a high-priced disappointment or a delightful discovery. Well, let it be known my friends, it was definitely the latter! Really yummy food with complex sauces that I feel I could never do at home (but not too much of it, not drenched in sauce...just enough); attentive but not hovering wait-staff and a super cozy and fun atmosphere. It was possibly the best meal we've had in a long time. I had the lobster tails, he had the red snapper, we started with the porcini soup and finished with the tarte tartin and coffee. The coffee also was delicious. I highly recommend! This place is totally worth the price.

C'est Magnifique!. My husband and I went for a special occasion. We signed up for reservations online and requested a certain area, from other city search recommendations. We received the exact spot we wanted.

There was some delay from the time we arrived to the time we were seated, but that can be expected with such a small environment and popular venue.

The bartender was GOLDEN and attentive, as were the owners who greet everyone and make sure their experience is top notch.

The food was fabulous, and worth the cost, for our occasion. The wine was good, the salad was even special.

Get the lobster tails with vanilla and champagne sauce, and the creme brulee. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely my favorite restaurant. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Lookng at it from the outside, you would neer know what a treasure lies within. I never ever thought a Kansas City restaurant would top my other faves in New Orleans and Vieques, but it definitely has. The food is amazing, hands down the best food I have ever tasted. The menu changes, which made me sad at first when I wanted to go back and order what I had liked so much the first time...but its definitely not a bad thing, it got me to try a variety of stuff and I have loved everything I have ever eaten there. On top of the amazing entrees (the Filet Le Fou is mouthwatering) they have wonderful hors d'oeurves of cheeses and fruits, and a fantastic tartare de thon with ahi tuna. Add to that my two favorite staples from my favorite cty of New Orleans, Le Fou has some fantastic french onion soup and creme brulee. Its somewhat pricey, but believe me, worth every penny. The staff is lovely, and the owner always stops by the table, either to just check on how your food is, or to bring you your to go boxes, which usually have a lovely little message written on them. This place is cozy and unpretentious, the people are wonderful, its an absolute 10. And guaranteed to impress a girl if you take her there on a date.

Great French Joint. Nothing but praises for this bistro. The selection, the taste and the service is excellent. Nothing more but perfection will be provided at this place. I am from Dallas, TX and everytime I come to KC, I always make an attempt to come to this restaurant with my girlfriend. The lobster bisque is to die for and the eclectic selection of entree is amazing. For those who are looking for some place romantic and local, then look no further.

Horrible experience.. Being that Le Fou Frog is a 5 star restaurant, I expected it to be excellent all around. However, It was everything but excellent. I ordered a mild white fish and it was horribly fishy, I couldn?t believe it. My mom ordered the lobster and we had to send it back because it was so tough, even my dad (who never complains) agreed that it was not fit to eat. This meal was by far the worst meal I have EVER had at a nice restaurant.

Average fine dining.. Despite the first impression when you see the exterior of Le Fou Frog, the interior is very cozy and comfortable, a great atmosphere for a date or dinner party. And, although you would think you've found an awesome place, the food was not quite the superb experience we expected. Everything was good, some was very average like the soup and two appertizers, other parts were very unique and tasty like the sauce on the entrees, but overall, we were mildly disappointed.
