I had a customized necklace with intricate design (3 pieces) made at Goodden Jewellers. Elizabeth helped with the design and gave special attention to the craftsmanship of the necklace as it was flawless, beautiful and met my exact specifications. I highly recommend Gooddens to those individuals who want their heartfelt emotions translated into a magnificent piece of art.

Experience Friendship and Art with the Gooddens. Last year when my then-fiancée and I were looking for a unique way to express our loving union we stumbled on an interesting forging and milling technique that produces beautifully patterned pieces. It is a difficult technique to master, and most jewelers have never heard of it. So, after spending some time researching the local scene here in Kansas City, my (now :D ) wife and I found our way into Goodden Jewelers due to the incredibly positive reviews of their custom designed works and friendly atmosphere.

In retrospect, those positive reviews were, if anything, understated. Elizabeth and Rick welcomed us in like family members. Elizabeth took this completely new work as an artistic challenge and we all agreed to work in close collaboration to explore the medium of Mokume Gane – the fusing of two metals to create a unique and elegant pattern. Four months, several proto-types, and the most beautifully wrought bookmark later, we found ourselves holding two incredibly gorgeous rings well in time for our wedding ceremony.

By its nature, each mokume piece is unique. Elizabeth designed and made each of our rings to express who she thought we are – and she nailed it! Each of our rings is an expression of not just the love between partners, but also the vision of an artist and the love of good friend. Working with Gooden Jewelers wasn’t a “purchasing arrangement” it was a mutual journey in the best of company.

My wife and I highly recommend Goodden Jewelers and Know that Elizabeth and Rick will work with you to your satisfaction to create just the unique piece of custom jewelry to fit your personality. And, if you haven’t seen mokume before, it’s worth stopping in just to take a look at this unique craft.

Best jewlery store I've ever been to. I love going here to shop for my next piece of jewelry. They have a great selection friendly staff and the cutest little puppy Down town Mr. Brown. They have beautiful art and fossils to look at. They make awesome custom jewelry. I'll never go anywhere else!!

Locally Owned. Being locally owned is important to me and Goodden's fits the bill. I like my jewelry to be different, not something everyone else has or that you can see in every flyer like the mall/chain jewelry stores have. The staff is friendly and have patience with you while you are shopping. There is something for everyone. They support local artist's paintings, estate items, jewelry history, it is much more than a jewelry store. You won't be sorry you made the trip downtown. I visit their store frequently because of the variety and there is always something new. Thanks!

Awesome Store. I love the store, so many great items, lots of designer pieces, silver, gold, estate jewelry, cameos, etc. I shop there for their silver selection, it is awesome. There is no waiting even when they are busy, plenty of knowledgeable staff to help you out. All of the staff know jewelry which is important to me. They took my great aunt's wedding ring and without changing the design made it into a one of a kind necklace. Unbelieveable, I love it. They beat out all other jewelry stores, not a chain, just great, friendly service and choices.

Great Jewelry -- Great Prices. Goodden Jewellers has the largest selection of jewelry at the most reasonable prices that I have ever seen. I travel all over the country and this store beats them all. They have unique one of a kind peices and if you don't see what you want, they will design it for you. After my husband past away, I wanted to do something special with my diamonds. The folks at Goodden's took the time to talk to me, found out what I liked and designed a one of a kind ring that I wear all of the time and receive numerous compliments on. Customer service, selection, price & location are all A+++++ in my book. Thanks Goodden's!

Gooddens for unique jewelry and great service. You will be so glad that you decided to shop at Goodden Jewelers. My family and friends and I have been shopping at Gooddens since we moved to KC in the 1980s. My engagement ring was designed by them, and I never go anywhere without someone telling me what a beautiful and unique ring it is. I've even had friends who have had rings designed that were based on mine. Over the years my husband and I have bought several pieces from them, ranging from lovely and affordable estate pieces, to one of a kind pieces that have been created by the kind and talented folks at Gooddens. In addition to the wonderful jewelry and service you will find there, Rick is a licensed gemologist and so can give the kind of accurate apparaisals you want for your insurance. If you want something beautiful and unique, not the usual cookie cutter stuff you get at chain stores, go visit Goodden Jewelers. And, take your puppy dog with you. They'll leave feeling as special and pampered as you will.

Love my engagement ring!. I love my engagement ring! My fiance surprised me with a gorgeous round cut diamond with a white gold vintage setting (he tied it to my favorite bottle of wine at our favorite wine bar!). I love that its a classic diamond, but the setting is unique. When he told me he got it from Goodden jewelers, I loved it even more because we are big supporters of KC downtown development.

When I went in to get my ring sized, Elizabeth and the others were very attentive and helpful, and I had my ring back to me by the end of the same day. If you want something high quality but unique, don't go to a chain in the mall, go to Goodden in downtown KC!!
