The BEST in KC!. I am 26 and have been eating here all my life. My mom and dad went when they were kids and both know the woman on the menu. Yes, it's cheap (grease all over everything!). Yes, it's dirty. Yes, the service can be crappy. But it is, without a doubt, THE BEST Mexican food in Kansas City. Here's my advice - order whatever you want, then ask for them to pour cheese sauce ALL OVER EVERYTHING. If they sold it in stores I would drink it out of the jar. Gluttony is your friend here. Enjoy.

Best Mexican food in KC. I've been eating here for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. It is always a treat to sit down to a basket of the best chips in the city. They haven't been sitting in the warming drawer, but are fresh out of the fryer and then to your table. When you bite into that first chip with warm (not cold) salsa, your taste buds simply say "thank you". The food has been consistent over the decades with the best taco sauce I have ever eaten. It is made fresh every day in the their kitchen, not from a chain commissary. The sauce tastes almost like a relish with a sweet taste and is simply incredible on their tacos or spooned over the rice. Ask for a small bowl of it on the side, since you will want more - MMMMM The quality has been great and none of the recipes have changed in the 30 years I've eaten there. The servers are great because they're proud of the quality food they serve. If you want a break from Johnson County average Mexican food, then drive downtown. While down there, drive around and marvel at the improvements in downtown and the city market. Enjoy.

Horrible Service. this place provides bad food with horrible service, my server took our order and never came back, this place has the classic uneven tiny tables that rock back and forth and horrible service. The people that run this place are just plain RUDE, 30 years of what?.......your better off with a burrito from Quick Trip it won't cost you $8.00 and the employees wont treat you like crap. Please KC understand this is not real Mexican food, it's Tex-Mex slop covered with bad cheese ,this place SUCKS!!!!! By the way I think that the Los Corrals people are putting in there own reviews to help boost their ratings, something fishy is going on!!!!!!!

Friendly, cozy, very reasonable, great food. I remember my parents taking us here in the sixties! Very cool place, friendly atmosphere, consistently good food. We just love it and enjoy the weekly specials. For us, Los Corrals is a tradition and a home away from home. Hope you greatly enjoy!

Great place if you want crappy food. This place is horrible. First, of all they have never heard of the concept first come first served. B/c they continuously seat people that come in after you before you have a seat. Funny how other restaurants seat people in order. Hmmmm......there is a thought!

Their food brings an entire new meaning to the word nasty. I am not sure how this place has been in business for 60 years. I know it isn't b/c of the awesome personality of the lady working at the register. She is rude and clearly shouldn't work with customers. I would not recommend anyone eat at Los Craprrals. KC has several good Mexican restaurants on the boulevard. Take my advice and just drive a little further. Or go to your local Taco Bell. Trust me it will be 100% better!

GREAT AWESOME FOOD. I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL & NOW I HAVE MY 6 KIDDOS ADDICTED TO THIS PLACE. THEY ARE SO REASONABLE & VERY, VERY FRIENDLY. I HAVE NEVER GONE WHEN I HAD BAD SERVICE OR A RUDE WAITER. JOSIE WOULD NOT STAND FOR THAT! I LOVE THEIR SAUCE, TACOS, TOSTADOS & THEIR CHIPS. I JUST CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH FOR SUCH A REASONABLE GRAND MEXICAN PLACE TO EAT & HAVE A GREAT FAMILY TIME.

Amazing food and fantastic service for over 60 years!. I have been eating at this restaurant for the last 35 years and the food is just as terrific today as it was then! The service is great, people are so friendly, the chips & salsa are both served warm (the way they should be) and the restaurant is very authentic! The closest mexican food that I have found to this wonderful restaurant is in San Antonio (but Los Corrals is even better!). Give it a try and I recommend the pork and bean burritos!

Great food,bad service, awful managment. I would normally highly recommend this place because the food is excellent. But the service has always been horrible. Always. But yesterday we had a party of 5 along with a toddler. We ordered a childs plate but got and were charged for an adult plate. There was also an additional $17 dollars on the bill that we could not account for. They said it was for steak burrittos however the bill already had that on it. So when we went to pay we argued the point. They insisted they were right. They did agree that with us that their service was awful. It is very unfortunate that they lose a long time customer. I could put up with bad service for great food. I can't put up with being cheated out of money. So, they won the round yesterday. I won the round this time.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had. The food is horrible. I was sick for two days after I ate there. The server had no personality what so ever. And the guy that took my money at the register was downright rude. I felt like they try to rush you in and out like a herd of cattle.
