Really poor service. My family recently visited the Plaza location. The service was the worst I have ever encountered in a restaurant. We won't go back.

I like it.. The fries are great and always fresh, and I also like the hamburgers (though I don't like thick meat, so be warned). Definitely a place to eat in, because everything gets soggy if you go to the drive-through.

Good Burgers. I love Winstead's! I grew up on them and that is the reason i love them. The thick onion and the sauce is just great. Also the frosty malt is wonderful!

better than average. Although i never feel like i get my moneys worth, it's nice to get a decent burger with taste served on real plates instead of paper.

Ms. Beverly Bowlin. I was born in Kansas City. My girlfriends and I used to cruise Winsteads and the Plaza. There is no other hamburger in the world like Winsteads, and definitely no other chocolate shake. Wendy's comes about as close, but not the same. Even after my father's funeral, we went to Winsteads (a sentimental journey). Thank you.

skinney burgers. I like these burgers, but I would like to see tomatoes offerd also!!!!

Good food. Good Service. Good people.. Has been a very good and consistent restaurant for quality food and service. First visit to original Winstead's (on the Plaza) was early 1950's. Good family atmosphere and a Kansas City landmark.

Winstead's not instead. I agree that the malts, shakes , and skyscrapers are tasty and nostalgic. But, the hamburgers are too thin.
