Wont stand behind their work. Moores had come out to repair my heater in December. This summer I turned on my A/C and it blew hot air. Called a different company and they said that Moores had wired my system so the A/C wasnt able to be turned on from my thermostat. Called Moores and gave them the opportunity to come out first to and if this was true to fix it and everything would be ok. Told me that they could get to me in a little over a week and I would have to pay for service call and any repairs. Wow, you would think that a company would want to know if this is really going on with their service team. I cant wait that long, its 90 degress and its already been 3 days. Called another service company. They worked me in within the next day. There are way to many service companies in KC to deal with a company like Moores.

Will not stand behind their work. Unprofessional & Rude!. Had a new Air conditioner/ Heat Pump unit put in 1 year ago, had to call company (4 services calls in total a year) out when we needed to switch to heat because the heat pump would not work, heat pump never functioned correctly, now when trying to switch over to the air conditioner thermostat indicated air condition on and the furnace comes on. Called company and spoke with Randy Moore, the owner, and he said we would have to pay a service call of $79 for the first 15 minutes of their time and any additional charges for them to come and see if it was their techs wiring mistake. Also we have wires on the outside unit not properly installed and exposed to the elements and connected wires in our basement that do not have wire nuts on them. Company is refusing to stand behind their work said they would not send a tech out at all after I called him out on all of his technicians mistakes and he hung up on me. Very unprofessional!

DO NOT USE THEM--RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE. I've had them come out to my home twice to unclog my toilet. I only have one bathroom and they were good about getting to me the same day, not quickly but the same day. David came out both times. The second time he left without testing the toilet or turning the water back on. He had to be called back as I could not turn the water on. He came back and turned the water on and tested the toilet but never apologized for not doing it the first time. 36 hours later the toilet overflowed (without flushing, it just erupted) spewing garbage disposal debris all over the floor. Debris also came up through the bathtub drain. I called my home warranty people and they contacted Moore's. This was New Year's Day. Kevin (from Moore's) called me to tell me he was trying to contact David without any luck so far. He just wanted me to know they hadn't forgotten me. He said he would call me back by 5:00 either way. About an hour later David called. I explained the problem to him. He asked if the toilet flushed. I told him so far, it was working. The call dropped. I waited for him to call me back and after an hour without a call realized the call didn't drop--he hung up on me! I was going to suggest to him that since the toilet was still working we could set something up for Jan. 2nd if he would give me an emergency number to call if the toilet stopped working before then. I never got the chance. After an hour I called Kevin and informed him. He said he would contact David and have him call me. No one ever called me back. Do not use these people. They are unreliable, rude, unprofessional and not at all knowledgeable about plumbing. I am informing my home warranty people of their conduct and lack of knowledge.

The nature of the business. Think about the type of company you are talking about here...How can they possibly give you a specific time they will arrive - they really don't know what the nature of your problem will involve or how much time it will take to repair. The customer service ladies always let you know that you can contact the office on the morning you are scheduled at 9:30 am and they will then let you know if it will be morning or afternoon when the service man arrives. They also let you know that you can request AM or PM and that the service man will try is best to make that work for you - but, they can not always be sure just based on the problems the service man might face at each repair for the day...Before you decide not to use them you should call and get questions answered.

Forget About It. Despite the prior review I decided to make the appointment, because the receptionist said they would let me know by 9:30 AM the day of the appointment. I took the morning off work. At 9:30AM I called the receptionist (because of course they had not called me) and I asked when I could expect them to come out. I was told I was 4th on the list....so of course, I asked, "so where does that put me" and that's when it smacked me in the face "ma'am we don't give out times"...no indication at all, none whatsoever. This may be a good service for those "stay-at-home" types, but it just does not work in the business world. I cancelled and told my appliance insurance to take them off their recommended list...it just does not work.
