I am the owner of Noe's Jewelry and would like to comment on the post from Lori D. The amount of $700 talked about here would be if the pendant was 24kt pure gold. Unfortunately, this is a misnomer when trying to sell your gold. Here are a few facts about gold and it's purity: 10kt= .416% pure, 14kt= .585% pure, 18kt = .75% pure. The amount offered by a gold purchaser to a client is figured on the karat of the item. It is our goal at Noe's to offer the highest prices around when purchasing gold, silver & diamonds. We are also very proud to be able to say that our clients tell us that we do pay the most! I felt compelled to answer this negative post & feel like the client should have discussed the situation & gotten the facts first. We are always energetic about education first and business second, here at Noe's Jewelry which is now the oldest jewelry store in KC (est. 1909).

Best and most honest jeweler I have ever done business with. I have been a repeat customer of Noe's Jewelry in Raymore, MO for the past 12 years (all major purchases). Prior to doing business with Noes, I had made purchases at 3 chain store retailers in Kansas City. There is a huge difference. The owners, Mike and Robin Noe, and their phenomenal staff have treated my wife, daughter and me like family from the beginning. Having lived in the Raymore area for the past 24 years, we know many other couples who have traded at Noes, and all are repeat customers and feel as we do. Perhaps the best testimonial is this - a family member of mine was a manager with several major jewelry chain stores in Kansas City over a 20 year period. This family member told me there is only one Kansas City jeweler he will do business with personally - Mike Noe. The reason he stated was that Mike is the most honest and caring person in the jewelry business - anywhere. End of story. Thank you Mike, Robin, Brenda, Rocky, Kyla, and all the rest of the Noe Jewelry family for your phenomenal care and service to my family, and the citizens of Raymore, Lees Summit and beyond. We are customers for life!

I was in Noes in Raymore yesterday to get my pendant weighed. She told me it weighed 14 grams. Wow I should have been offered at least 700.00 as the price of gold is 1698.00 an oz. I understand that retailers need to make a profit, but they only offered me 284.00. Is this normal? Can I sell my gold for market value or am I obligated to pay such a high commission. I feel betrayed. To say the least. I am going to go to another jeweler this week and see what they say I should get.

Rude Staff!. They are incredibly unprofessional and if you question anything they say they get really rude. I will never go in that store again! I will tell everyone I know to stay away from them also.

Say NO!! to Noe's. I took my fathers diamond ring to Noe's in hopes of selling it for a fair price. It was white gold with three large stones. One of the diamonds was chipped but the other two stones were perfect. What I was offered was so low that I was almost offended. I called the store back later and asked how much it would cost to replace the damaged stone. I was quoted TWICE THE AMOUNT! I was offered to sell the ring.

That did it! I took my ring to another Jewerly store and recieved more the twice the amount I was offered at Noe's. SELLER BEWARE!!

Great jeweler and great people. I have visited this jewelry store every summer for several years now when on my vacation. Never have I felt so appreciated and helped out. I can always depend on the service and honesty of the owner and workers of this fine establishment.

For these reasons I will never shop for my jewelry and other such items anywhere else...and I live 4 and a half hours away.

Great Place. I am the manager at Noe's Jewelry and there are two sides to every story. Noe's Jewelry has been in business for 100 years and it's not that way because we are crooks, or have faulty jewelry. We pride ourselves in everything that we do. Sometimes in retail, as in every business, there are misunderstandings that take place. It is important to us that customers are educated if they give us a chance.

The owner, ran a jewelry repair shop for over 30 years. It is important to know that he did the repairs for the chain stores and some independant stores in the Kansas City area.

If someone purchases a ring somewhere else and wants a diamond set into another ring, we always check with the jeweler to make sure they can reuse that head. If the head is not strong, or faulty in any way, the blame falls back on us, so we like to take every measure to ensure the item is at it's strongest. The owner/jeweler wasn't there that day so we weren't given a chance to check with him. Immediately the customer assumed we were trying to get their money. Just another simple misunderstanding.

I am extremely proud of our customer service and the people that I work for. I have never in my life worked for more honest people. Any of our employees will gladly tell you that. Thank you.

Dishonest jeweler. BEWARE!! I bought a brand new mounting from an on-line jeweler and took it to Noe's to have my 1 1/3 carat diamond remounted in the new mounting basket (head). The new mounting basket(head) was for a 1 1/3 carat diamond. Noe's said I would have to buy a new 'basket' if they were to mount my diamond... their reason, "Because they didn't trust the BRAND NEW 18kt MOUNTING BASKET (head) I had brought to them on my new ring!! I then told them to use the mounting basket (head) that the diamond was 'already in'. Noe's said they didn't trust that mounting and that they did not mount yellow gold on white!!! I guess the women did not look very closely as the mounting the diamond was in was WHITE and the band was gold!!!! Needless to say I KNEW they were trying to 'Rip-me-off'!! They were just trying to make more money! I left Noe's and then went to another 'reputable' jeweler who said the new basket (head) fit fine and would be PERFECT!! Noe's was trying to scam me for an extra money for a new basket (head) that I DID NOT NEED, when the NEW basket (head) I had worked great!! If you want to get SCAMMED go to Noe's they are sure to scam you!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
