Best Steak for the Money. This place has been around since the 1930's, and it's still going strong. Tuesday thru Friday between 11:00am until 2:00pm, they run daily specials. You can't beat the Thursday special. You get a 5 oz. bacon wrapped filet mignon, a baked potato, green beans and garlic toast, all for the ridiculously low price of $7.95. That's right, $7.95! And Sarah's a hoot! One of the best waitresses in KC, and a fantastic sense of humor! Kansas City's original Roadhouse! And now this place is SMOKE FREE! They have added an outside patio if you still need to smoke.

HIDDEN SECRET!. This P.O.S., hole-in-the-wall in Independence on 40 Hwy has THE BEST STEAK in Kansas City. The restaurant looks scary and crappy, and is filled with cigarette smoke, but you will be surprised when you taste the food.

Their steaks are so INEXPENSIVE it's not even funny. I have been to all the steak restaurants in KC and have been most impressed with this ones.
