I've been drug to Zio's three times by friends, and much to my chagrin, the food has been getting progressively worse each time. The service isn't bad, the ambience isn't horrible, but the food is unpalatable.
My husband and I love to take our kids to Zio's. They have a great selection of food and they are more kid oriented than a lot of places, and the food is not expensive. Our family of four can often eat for under $20, without tip. And it's good food. What more can you want!
Not really Italian, but good!.
Zio's has great pastas, pizzas and bread! It's really not Italian (if you want real Italian, try Anthony's in downtown KC near River Market). Zio's is very inexpensive, and way better than Macaroni Grill!
