Pulled pork was mushy and overcooked. Burnt ends were neither burnt nor ends.

Corn on the cob was still frozen in the middle.

The waitress asked for the corn back and put it in a plastic dessert dish to microwave.

FYI, microwaving plastic is bad for you, and microwaving corn on the cob dries it out.

When we were paying the staff, or the Oden family, glared at us as if it were our fault that the food was not right.

We should have noticed that the place was not busy on a Friday night and stayed away.

Won't go back.

Best Food in Belton!. I lived in Belton for a year and love Oden's! A girl friend and I would eat there 2 or 3 times a month, and it is definitely one of my favorite restuarants in the state. She would get the bar-b-que, and I would get the Reuben sandwich. Love their potatoe wedges, ice cream and chocolate syrup are part of very order. There is something for everyone at Oden's, their service is great, and prices reasonable. =) can't wait to visit family up there and eat again...yummy!

Definately one of the best in South Kansas City. It seems there is a BBQ restaurant on every corner...Thank God! Odens is a great hometown BBQ joint and realistically one of the Best in KC. The burnt ends, my favorite, are great, although they have been dry on occassion. The beans are better than any I have ever had. You can't go wrong..the brisket, sausage, ham and chicken are all well above average. My family and I enjoy the Dinner for 2, serves more like 4...Burnt ends, ribs, ham, brisket, beans or coleslaw and fries....I totally recommend this, really shows off the quality of Odens. The service has always ( for over 15 years in my experience) been quick and non intrusive. Very family friendly...except there is still a smoking section..grrrrrrr. By the way...they have real sweet tea....none of that, well you can add sugar. Top it all off with free ice cream and your own bottle of chocolate syrup. Try it and you may find this a main staple.

Very good ?wet? BBQ joint. I have been enjoying Oden?s for over 10 years. They have very good BBQ coming out of that pit they have. The best baby back ribs in KC! If you like your BBQ served with sauce on the plate, this place is for you.

An added feature is their menu, they have a wide range of food, from salads, sandwiches, steaks, BBQ and home made deserts. Deserts go fast so get there early. On the weekends, call ahead, you will need it, this place is packed, cause the food is good!

Best in K. C.. Can;t do better than this. Great bbq, Plus full menu of other food from steak to free ice cream at meals ends.Very inexpensive for what you get,good parking, and hey best brunt ends there are.

Family, Food and Fun. This restaurant should be known as one of Kansas City's favorites. I have been to this restaurant and find that the sense of family values added to the wonderful food experience can only led one diner to realize that the values of this world hasn't lost its chivalry. If you haven't experienced the wonderful ambiance of the restaurant, you should run there and be prepared to have a mouth watering and wonderful experience. You might walk away with a feeling of dejavue, but you will know that you had one of the most wonderful dining experinces of your life.
