Upscale bar filled with sing-along tunes played by professional piano players.
Garbage

After boycotting Westport for over a year after my friend was murdered in the area, I finally caved because one of my friends was having her 21st birthday at this bar. I showed up dead sober and asked the bartender if there were any specials (it was a weeknight so even though the place was packed, I thought I'd ask.) The bartender laughed and turned and walked away. I couldn't believe it said excuse I would like a drink. He started yelling and a bouncer came over and started to pull me out of the bar. When I told him I would like to leave on my own because I didn't even want to be there he told me to "shut the fu ck up" and literally slammed my head into a concrete pillar on the way out. I don't care whose birthday it is, I am never going back to Westport, or especially this piece of shlt ever again.

I Love Ernie Biggs!! They have great drink specials and something different every night. Check out Tuesday night. Its a DJ night with silly cheap beer.
What a Disappointment

The piano bar seemed like a perfect choice for an evening with old friends - across the street from the hotel, near some good restaurants for dinner, and what's better than a rowdy sing-along with good friends. And at the start, that's exactly what we found - a female musician who was terrific at warming up the crowd and had a great voice to boot, and a male musician with great facial expressions and decent talent. About 30 minutes into the night, though, another guy took the girl's place. I couldn't decide what I hated most - the homophobic jibes, the random choruses of "the slut, the bitch, the whore" thrown into unrelated songs, or his lack of actual knowledge or talent (which he tried to cover up for by pulling out more crass comments). I thought that the night might recover when the girl came back with a bass (at which she was pretty good), but then that same guy pulled out an electric guitar, and cranked up the amp to the point where nobody in the room could hear a friend from less than a foot away (hello hearing loss). Combine that with the slow service, and we walked out the door without a regret.
Waste of Time

When we walked in things seemed promising. There was a man and a woman at the pianos ... she was excellent, he was funny. They sang some great songs and played off of each other well. Then she went on break and this other dude took her place. He was a crass, sexist jerk and really wasn't very talented. He could barely play any of the songs that were requested. To cover up the fact that he was a hack he kept stopping every few measures to interject one of his horrible jokes. Then they all took the stage as a band ... they were tolerable with the brightest spot being the woman on bass. Ridiculously loud - TURN YOUR AMP DOWN, WANNABE GUITAR BOY. The cocktail service was also very slow.
Loved It

I loved this place. I had the most fun here. I talk about with my friends, and we created great memories here. The enviroment was awesome. There was not anybody there that was not having a great time, The bartenders were great. I don't think i had to wait for a drink on a crowded saturday night. And the guys at the pianos were fantatastic!
- Pros: Great enviroment
- Cons: parking
