We had a great time!.
We never knew about Bacchanalia until we saw it come up as one of the 435 South Magazine's Tasty Tuesday locations. Ours was a party of 6 and we eat a party of 10's amount of food. Everything was very good, very tasty. It was an all you can eat event, so that's what we did. Service was quick to pick up our old plates.
If I had to be critical, which I will, the assortment of dishes lacked color. There were mostly pasta dishes and all looked similar, however the tastes were very distinct and very good. I could have given this place a 4 star, because it wasn't PERFECT... But I'm going with a full 5 star due to the owner, Eric, and his heart and love for the business. This is a family owned and operated business and you can tell that they love what they do and they will try very hard to make your event as special as it possibly can be.
Treats clients horribly!. I booked this caterer do do a dinner of 100 people for me. For 5 months I spoke with him and I had every detail planned. The only thing is every time I mentioned getting the contract signed he would say "oh, I thought I already sent that" or how he didn't have it with him right now, but he would be sure to get that to me right away. Then I found out that he canceled my reservation for the hall and replaced it with a wedding of 250+ because they would "make him more money". He didn't even bother to call and tell me I had to find out through the hall. Horrible business ethics!
