Love it!. The Cashew is a beautiful, nostalgic building. Two floors, as well, as well a semi private fireplace room, complete with working fireplace and fabulous sofas and tables. The room would be great for a romantic date, or a small group of friends to lounge. Great martinis and a variety of imported and local beers. The garage doors are fabulous for viewing the skyline. We also had appetizers and homemade pannini here, and all I can say is YUMMY! During happy hour, the apps were half price too! The server was gracious enough to let us in on this great deal. And almost everything on the menu was less than $10. With the half price deal the huge apps were only about $4 a piece, and more than enough for two people. Definitely a must do in Kansas City!

Best spot on a nice day!. I love the garage doors that they open when the weather is nice, and the view of downtown is awesome. They have some really good martini's and our server was personable and funny. The hummus is a must have. I love just stopping in for a few drinks on a nice day.

Dont' Do it!~. To those interested in having an event or a wedding reception at 2000 Grand (The Cashew) please think twice! My Husband and I loved the Cashew. We loved the space, the view, the food was awesome, and they were flexible dealing with us all the way up to the wedding. It seemed to be the perfect spot to have an all inclusive downtown reception with an urban feel that had competing prices to other similar spaces. The problems we had occurred more after the wedding and with management. During the event it was HOT! They say the air conditioner was working which if this was true it was completely inadequate. With all the people in the space and all the windows it was burning up! All my guest on one side of the room were sweating and several of our older family members ended up having to leave early due to the heat. They did try to correct the situation by putting out large industrial fans that helped the heat but completely took away from the d

Great location: close to Hyatt and the Westin Downtown. This bar has a great patio for all of us smokers and multi level of different bars. In the few times I've been to KC in the last two years I've always had a great time at the cashew. Plenty of eye candy from the staff to the clientele.....Always a night to remember!
